Samurai Champloo 10

We continue the journey! This time, because they don’t have money to eat, they’ve got to work by a monk and his priest. Well.. ‘work’? Let’s face it again: Jin works hard, Mugen ruins all, Fuu has to clean up his mess. On her way to get the stuff to replace the sliding door, she hears about a killer on the lose. The killer’s targets are all well known famous samurais. There is no wound, only that bloods flowed out of the eyes and nose. A painful way to kill someone. Fuu tells it to the rest, Jin is not interested, Fuu wants the money that is on the killers head, Mugen just wants to fight.^^

He meets the killer. They fight a bit, but Mugen discovers soon that the Killer is something special. He uses wind, that kills the opponent. The Killer runs off, and telling that with the next full moon, the fight will continue. Plenty of time to practise, ey?^^.
The monk tells us about the history of this guy, because he was once the master of the guy. But the guy learned in a distant land a material art, that changed his live. This art uses no blade, it uses Ki. Live force. He came back to the dojo, but his heart was filled with darkness. The master expelled him, and because he couldn’t save his student, he became a monk.

Mugen starts meanwhile with the most ridiculious, idiotic training, that can only be fitted by some baka like Mugen self. He acts this way, because he isn’t sure he can defeat this guy. On the night of the battle we get some nice scenes.

"Don’t forget. I’m going to be the one that kills you."

The dryness is wonderfull here.^^ I really liked that part. Mugen is off, and we ALL know, that the badguy will be defeated. How expectingfull!
