End-Of-The-Month Rankings August 2006

And with this, I end the month of August. So, it’s time for the monthly rankings. Anyway, we’re going to do the same as the last month. A top of the anime, a top 5 of the best episodes and the best male and the best female. This time, however,I can’t find the time to get all the pictures in time. So this month, it’s nothing. Sorry about that. Another note, the next Monday, school will get started. No time to blog. T.T

Top of the anime
This month, I’ve watched 25 anime. Let’s get it started with the worst, of course.

25. Blue Project Chikyuu SOS
This anime truly sucks. This is an arrogant anime, and it is placed by the most corny characters ever, and the story is as dull and unbelievable as hell. I do not like this, and I’m never going to touch this anime again. Dropping.

24. Welcome to the NHK
I do not like this at all with all the echhi and perverted stuff. Never going to touch this anime once again. It started so well, but this.. No. Dropping.

23. Coyote Ragtime Show
Couldn’t keep me interested. Dropping.

22. Innocent Venus
Too much action and I so do not like that name! Chose another planet or a goddess but this is the worst ever. Dropping.

21. Utawarerumono
Even with the best Utawarerumono episode ever, 18, Utawarerumono is failing horribly. With a new badguy, episode 21 annoyed the hell out of me. I also do NOT like the new weapons, the robots that are put into battle. That doesn’t fit the anime. And you have to face it, Kuuya is annoying. I wish that Utawarerumono wouldn’t be so serious, because the jokes that are used rarely, they make up for this anime. But no, I shouldn’t hope of a good ending with this anime. I really shouldn’t. This anime has dissapointed me too many times. I’m going to watch it though. Now that I got this far with this horse crap, I feel like I should watch the whole anime. Watching.

20. Hanoka
This really can be good, the only problem that I have with it now is that I haven’t seen enough of it to get a real image of it. After all, only three episodes are released and in total we have something of 8 minutes of the real thing. Well. I hope that more episodes are going to be released. Watching.

19. Wolf’s Rain
I’ve finally watched this anime! And damn, that was really stupid. I really was amazed the last episodes when I found out that the creators were planning to kill off most of the cast. Untill I realised what was going with the ending. Because that was stupid, once again. I had some really weird time when I watched it. But, I have a record of watching 10 episodes this month. Hoorray for me! That’s also because I just wanted to get rid of this anime. Ending.

18. Kenonozume
This could be very interesting, only that I’m fearing that I might lose my interest in this. I don’t like the art as well, it’s way to messy for me to look at. Watching.

17. Jang Geum’s Dream
This anime is great! Only for the fact that only one episode is released. I don’t get it why it took so long, because this anime is still from the Spring Season. I like the battles, and the main character is also interesting. Watching.

16. Bokura Ga Ita
Hell, I’m suprised that I’m still watching this. But I figured out what appealed so to me in this anime though. Normally I don’t like romane anime at all, and I’m not really watching this because of the romance. It’s because Nana has such a soft, peaceful voice that I always calm down when I’m watching this. And because all the pretty colors and the nice soft background music and so. And the past of Yano, could be interesting, and he can be funny sometimes. I only don’t like the things that went around with Yamamoto. Watching.

15. Ouran High School Host Club
This was the worst month ever for Ouran. Episode 17 focussed on Kyouya, and that episode was just really boring and nothing really happened. I just liked the evil face of Kyouya, that’s all. And in episode 18, there was no fun at all, because it was about Honey. Honey ruins this anime. I have to admit that it can be fun for one time that that brat is the strongest in the country, but episode 18 really annoyed the hell out of me. Send him to the kindergarten, please. Episode 19 was the yuri-episode and I have to say that I loved the face expressions of Tamaki. But the ending was just as bad as ever. Watching.

14. Fairly Musketeer Akazukin
This anime keeps on with its awesomness. It’s very cute I have to say and I like Val more and more. Souta can talk to flowers and we have the third musketeer too. I am not bothered by the fact that it’s a kids anime. Watching.

13. Muteki Kanban Musume
This anime is getting better and better. I’m beginning to like Miki more and more, and the fights are really awesome (weird) as well. Megumi is funny too. The last episode was awesome. Watching.

12. Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni
This is a terrible month for Higurashi. Shion and her endless whining about her beloved Satoshi is really getting on my nerves, and seeing her slaughtering all those nice characters of this anime, let me hate her more and more. I don’t feel any sympathy for her, I just hate her for killing Rika. Rika saved the last episode btw, but this was too sad. I haven’t seen episode 21 yet, but I fear for the worst. This arc must end quickly and move on to the good part: Rena. Watching.

11. Jungle Wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu Final
With this, I finally watched all the Guu. This was just as nice as the other versions of Guu I saw, but this time, Guu was more serious. That wasn’t too great, but I have to say that Robert makes up for her part in the weirdest wackiness ever. That Hale fell in love and the moment that Guu found out was too brillant too.^^ the end of this arc was weird, but well. With this, I’ve seen all the Guu. Ending.

10. Good Witch of the West
This ending was really good. I really liked episode 12 and 13 and so. I’m glad that I saw this. It was not the best ever, but it was really good. The frog was awesome.^^ Ending.

9. Mushishi
This can be a great anime. But I’ve only seen one episode. The reason of that is just because I’m downloading enormously. I like this story and where it might be going. It can be great. The reason why I picked it up so late is because many of the anime that I was watching are ending and I felt like I should watch more. I believe I made a great choice with this one. Watching.

8. Black Lagoon
And with this, Black Lagoon is put on short hiatus. But not for too long, because the second season is going to be released in the Autumn Season. Yaay! The last arc was not as great as the previous one, but it really gave me an enjoyable time watching this though. Rock was really funny and Levi was just as great as always. Hiatus.

7. Night Head Genesis
I truly loved the first episode! It was great and made me addicted to this anime already. But, after that the anime has showed itself a bit weaker. But nevertheless, it is still a great anime. I like those heavy themes and the paranormal mysteries and all that. I want to see more of it, only 4 episodes have been released yet. Watching.

6. xxxHolic
Yuuko was too funny in episode 19. It was really great. The stories get bigger, the Vestal Spirit is too cute once again, and it’s somehow also changing. It was really great. And Mokona and his snowmonster, how could anyone not adore that?

5. Simoun
After swearing never to touch this anime again after seeing this first episode in the Spring Season, I decided that I never would touch this again. But, it appears to be good. Because many of my series were ending, I decided to pick some new blood. This one. I don’t regret it.^^ It is really great!

4. Fruits Basket
I’ve only seen two episodes this month, and it can still suprise me in its greatness.

3. The Third
The last episode made me realise what a wonderful character Honoka is. She really is great. The third has no flaws and the tension is getting bigger, the atmosphere is getting heavier and I want to watch it more and more.

2. Tsubasa Chronicle
However Tsubasa Chronicle can be stupid some times, it remains so enjoyable and the last episode was so great. The past of Kurogane, it was really wonderful to see, and even more when Syoaran was in the picture in the end. That really did it. Tsubasa Chronicle is great.

1. Noein
This is just a wonderful anime. There. No discussion possible.

Best anime top 5
5. Simoun 2
Omg, that ending, it was just great when Erif collapsed and started to cry and to cry. That moment made me realise that I should have never dropped this anime.

4. xxxHolic 19
Serious, how good can a snowballfight be? Can I join next time?^^

3. Tsubasa Chronicle 40
The past of Kurogane! This was just a wonderful episode, it made me realise one new side of him.

2. The Third 10
Omg, Honoka. She reminds me of myself somehow and that’s why I love the Third as a anime. Honoka is just wonderful, in her cuteness, and her behaviour, and of course, with her PSP, she is so giddly.^^

1. Noein 24
Do I need to say more?

Best female character
Honoka (The Third): Honoka is a wonderfull deep character. The way she behaves and what is bothering her and that she is capable to not get hit by the attacks from Paife. And of course, how glad she is that Ikus is back. But, she realises too, that he can’t stay with her forever. I’m looking forward to the coming episode.

Best male character
Kurogane: Of course! How could it not be? We saw the real Kurogane with his past and, damn it, that’s quite a past. I want to see more. And more. Release another episode. Please. I’ve always thought that Kurogane was a though silent guy that doesn’t like to be mocked. But we see the motives of him, and it made me feel so much for him. It really did.

This is it folks. I’m sorry that I couldn’t collect the pictures but due to illness and all of other things, I just wasn’t able. Have a nice evening and see you next month!

The Third 10 - The awesomness continues

Honoka is really beginning to feel unsteady. It’s also due because of the last episode. Honoka has never killed a human before. And she doesn’t get it because she has killed all kinds of other things too. But this person, she just can’t forget it. She already was unsteady, but this episode, it’s getting worse and worse. I think that she feels like someone is calling for her, out in the Time Warp. I just don’t know why. But what did bother me was a suggestion of Bogie that she has never killed a human with a katana. And otherwhise, yes, she has killed. I wonder what? I think it’s due to her eye. Remember those antthingeys? It must be something like that.

Ikus wakes Honoka up, and she bumps her head to the ceiling. Saying that it was nothing, she just went for a second under the shower, and giving Ikus the feeling that she isn’t herself and that something has happened. Bogie explains the nightmares, and Honoka says that it is nothing already. They go to talk a bit, about what happened and so. Honoka is really glad that Ikus is back, but she realises that he can’t be with her forever. She tries to be cheerful, but in fact, she is really gloomy. I know about that tactic. In fact, I use it myself. I so loved that moment with Honoka watching her feet. She wanted not to talk about it, but well. Ikus asked her if she could turn back from her mission. We already know that Ikus knows more about all kinds of things. With the end of the episode, I understood. The Third is firering a superpowerful weapon into the warp. Ikus is going there because has interest in it, don’t know why, but this will kill Honoka.

With Honoka feeling unsteady, Paife feels annoyed. Also because a man is on board the mission. And she hates men. With this, and the moment that Honoka never killed a human before (the face of Ikus was just wonderful) she goes to Honoka and scolds her. Saying that she should know that it is killed or to be killed, that she is holding back, that Paife is a killer and that she doesn’t care and so. Paife really gets so annoyed that she starts to fight her. But with and without weapons, Honoka is much and much stronger. Paife calls her later ‘a monster’. But that is maybe only because Paife was defeated for the first time. This fight was just awesome. I don’t really know why Paife did such a thing, maybe it was just to let go of her aggression or trying to get to feel Honoka better.

At the end, this is where they are heading. Honoka is called in this direction. I don’t really know what it is and what is calling her, but damn, I’m so curious about it!

And at the end of the Third, Joganki realised that Honoka is in life danger. With this weapon, the possibility to survive is just as much as zero. But they can’t take off the mission just because of her. I liked this moment because it was really shown that Joganki has feelings for her. Only Honoka is too stubborn to accept it and because she has Ikus.
Damn, what am I curious about the coming episodes. This was just great, with Honoka as their great leader. I can move me so much in that character.

Good Witch of the West Review - 78/100

This is a decent anime. But even so, I don’t know where I should start in reviewing. This anime with his 13 episodes, it’s short. Maybe, too short. Because of that, the anime has a real high pacing to go to all the episodes. With that, you can miss information and the story doesn’t make any sence anymore. There are all kinds of weird terms that even I can’t understand what on earth they are meant by it.  You can say that this anime has his good points and his bad points. I recommend this anime for everyone that wants to look at a great art anime. This anime has the beautiful art ever and it really shines in it. The colors are bright, many colors and it’s just beautiful.

This is a romance fantasy anime, with political influences. The story is about the young girl Firiel that has the right to become the next queen of a land that has a difficult name. And she is in love with a heathen that studies all kinds of sciences. The good thing about this boy, Roux, is that he has glasses. And that he can be seen as the greatest nerd ever, but even so, he remains her hero and he keeps on saving her and saving her. That is so cool. I’m a glasseswearer myself, and because of that, I’m called a nerd. He is so a nerd, but even so, the nerd is the hero. I just love that.

The major bad point for me in this anime is that the two maincharacters, Roux and Firiel, are the biggest adolescences ever when it comes to hold their relationship together. It can get a bit TOO annoyed in the end but finally they make up one episode before this anime ends. But I had really my annoynce tested with this anime. But even so, all the characters of this anime are greatly thought about it, and they have all their own story.

But, the music of this anime makes up for the adolescence thing. The music is just beautiful and can give a great point also for this anime. My thumbs up! The tension is created just by the music and you can really feel the atmosphere about it. Well, to put it together, everyone that wants to see a great fantasy story with romance, watch it, but pay attention because otherwhise you won’t be able to understand it. And everyone that can watch teenager love. I just can’t.^^

Tsubasa Chronicle 40 - Kurogane

This was great. This was a totally Kurogane episode, telling what his youth was like. We begin this with the voice of Syoaran, saying that he read the past of someone he knew. We already knew that Kurogane lived in some kind of old Japan. Monsters were trying to pass the border. In order to protect the country, the mother of Kurogane had sent with magic a barrier. But, this wasn’t too great for her health, and the barrier wasn’t perfect. So, the father of Kurogane sometimes had to go, and slayed the monsters that passed the border.

Kurogane was a wonderful energic kid. He loved his mother and tried to help her with everything he could, even though he was a small kid. He loved his father of well, but his love of his mother really was great. He even thought sometimes as his father as a rival. But even so, his fathers teaches him to become stronger. Kurogane wants to become stronger to protect everyone in the country and to protect his mother. And he goes stronger by day and by day.

This goes by, untill the day comes that his father has faced a really strong monster. Appearently, it can turn you to stone. The father comes back injured, and takes the holy treasure of the family, a sword. Kurogane’s mother gives another protection for it, even though this wasn’t good for her body. She wants to pray as well, but she fails. A hand with a sword kill her. I think this might be the will of the gods and that they tell her that she is finished. Kurogane sees this and he is too shocked to be true. The border is failing, and the monsters are coming to the town. Then, he sees a monster. With a hand in his mouth. The hand was clinging on a sword. His father sword. After seeing that both his parents are murdered during one night, he goes berserk. And he slays them all, but he stays in a rage, clunching to his mothers body and not letting anyone goes near her. I have to say, this was all too sad.

Then, the Tomoyo and her older sister arrive. They want to take Kurogane to the court, maybe for a samurai job or something. But so, Kurogane has still lost himself. Tomoyo helps him, and gets his conscienceness back. Saying that he must let his mother rest. Kurogane started to cry.

And we skip to Syoaran. Syoaran was in a libary with the rest of the bunch, reading the book. The book of Kuroganes past. And he was too shocked, and started to cry. I can understand, I had also some problems with this. He is in a trance, and when Kurogane touches the book, Syoaran loses his balance and fails, still crying. That was great to see as well, we get the perfect ending for this.

Kurogane begins to rise in my sympathy. We also now know the reason for him to fight. I think that he was so fighty the time he was with Tomoyo, that he wanted just to become stronger. Maybe he thought that his parents got back this way. It’s just all to sad, and maybe that’s the reason for Tomoyo to send him to Yuuko. It’s still weird that we get to see this only after 40 episodes, but well, this is Tsubasa Chronicle. Tsubasa Chronicle has really proven itself today as one amazing anime.

Noein Review - 97/100

I was already addicted with this anime when I saw the first episode. That has never happened before. Noein is a great, wonderful anime, that deserves to be in the spotlights. But I won’t tell too much about the story, because this anime is great when you find everything out by yourself. This is a science-fiction anime, but then without anime clichés. That is the greatest thing of it. It’s about timetravelling, but it’s really difficult to explain what the situation in Noein is. That’s why I won’t even try because no one would understand it after that.

With some unexpected plot turns and heavy drama, Noein deserves to be classified with a really high score. The character cast is great, every character has its story on its own and it is all wonderful. In the beginning it’s focussing on the youth characters, but after that, it’s starting to get really heavy and the older characters have more and more a part in this all. Both parts are really inspiring. Haruka may look that she has to get rescues all the time, but in this anime, it works. And there are so much more parts that make up for it.

Noein has only 24 episodes, and so many great things that I won’t be able to name them all. The pace is overall a bit slow, but in the end, the latest episodes really scared me because I didn’t know what to do. It IS great.

Noein is also the anime that had me cry in episode three. Mostly of the time, this only happens with the ending, if the anime is really good. That it already happened so early is outstanding itself. Damn, I cried so many times during this anime, because every episode had me clunched on the chair and I couldn’t stop watching. Of course, I was frustrated afterwords because I didn’t know what would come after that.

And don’t get me started about the art. The art and the graphics look really awesome. It might be a bit messy, but it fits this anime really well. I’ve never seen such art and it’s really nice. Also, the music is just brilliant. The creators did a fantastic job in using this music right on the right moment. That makes you clunch on your chair even more. And at last: The figts. They are too awesome. Really. They are.

I recommend Noein to every living being. There. Shut up and watch it! If you like drama, you like science-fiction, you like anime, just watch it. The badguy may be a bit freaky, but damn I was moved when I saw this all.

Black Lagoon 12 - ‘Yes it is’ onee-chan^^

And with this, we end Black Lagoon. It’s a shame, it was a great anime. But luckily, there is going to be a second season! Yaaay! That’s the good thing about it, because Black Lagoon is damn short. So that means that after this episode, this will be put on hiatus.

Anyway, the episode. I feel like that I should say too much about it, because it is something you have to see for yourself. It was really enjoyable, that is true, and even we get some philosophy. I loved Levi in action and the Taiwanese woman was really funny as well. And of course, who couldn’t love the babbling of the stoned driver. If you look back to it, Black Lagoon got into a mess this episode. And it was too great to look at. This episode was great.^^

Utawarerumono 21 - Why another annoying laughing badguy?!

Okay. Now I’m REALLY REALLY annoyed. Utawarerumono wasn’t my favourite anime anyway, but THIS?! I don’t feel like to write a summary about it, because everybody is losing their minds. Kuuya has lost it totally because the horrors of war, and in the end, she attacked the holy place, and declared war on Hakuoro, saying that she wants his head. This isn’t the worst thing of it, it’s that new badguy that wants world domination. HOW could she not fire him, or something. Everybody must have seen that when somebody while he is killing farmers is yelling ‘DIE ALL YOU HAVE TO DIE’ can be a good person. His laugh also annoys the hell out of me. I thought I had it with the annoying ‘evil’ laughs after Yue, but *insert randomn comment*.

Also another thing is that this really reminded me of a soap as well. We know the evil angel. Yes? Alright, with the moment that Kuuya attacked the angels, they used magic, but for some dark reason, they stopped. Because of him. While yelling: ARE YOU… they were destroyed and still we don’t know what’s happening. I don’t like to say this but this looks awfully like a soap with a serial killer and everytime with a new victim ‘o my god it’s you’ is yelled. And never told who it is. That is really annoying. I recommend everyone to not get the version of ‘Your-Mom’ because they have changed all the names in American cities. And that is annoying as well. The cliffhanger: Everyone flied: Hakuoro, Eruruu and so, except the good guys that can fight and they are going to take on the robots. I wish them luck. But that bastard again, annoys the hell out of me. Grr…

Utawarerumono 20 - Utawarerumono goes science-fiction?!

Okay. How come that I was reminded of Wolf’s Rain?… This episode had really many subjects. I’m going to tell about four of them. The first was another discussion of Kuuya and Hakuoro that was made by Eruruu and Sidecharacter Sakuya a bit more interesting.^^ Kuuya is an annoying character. The reason for that could be because she is arrogant, and she even tries to conbine her best friend to Hakuoro and almost forced her to marry her. She makes impulsive decisions and the horse crap continues and continues like she is the best. And that everything that goes wrong, is the fault of Hakuoro and not of herself. Kuuya reveals that she might goes to war, because of an conflict with her enemies. Hakuoro and Eruruu are shocked by it because they know the dangers of war. The little brat doesn’t. But I have to say, when Sakuya found out her hair was cut, that was fun.^^ Utawarerumono should make more jokes because they can do that.

Second part: Kamyuu goes Vampire-style and bit Aruruu in the neck. Alright, anyone would think: WTF right now. Everyone goes looking for Kamyuu and of course the one to find her is Hakuoro. Talk about predictability. Kamyuu cried and said that she was different. Because she has black wings and not white ones. That’s why she is treated differently when she is around others, and the first friend she has ever made was Aruruu. Everything was the fault of the black wings. Then I keep on wondering, do those wings impulse you to be a vampire? Wings are not brains. A well, Hakuoro comforted her and said that Aruruu wouldn’t care for such a small thing. And yes, he is true, and Kamyuu is really sorry. The rest of the episode she is no longer in screen and never been heard of.

And now, the horse crap really, really continues. Kuuya really goes to war. And with the battlefield, TAMTAMTAMTAAAAAM.. Giant robots. Of course. Talk about hidden powers. But then, I keep wondering how those things couldn’t be noticed by someone else. Unless they are well hidden but I don’t believe that’s possible because those things are huge. The enemy is slaughtered with a lot of blood and fake drama. Only in three days. Nice. Kuuya invites Hakuoro once again and goes bragging about her amazing powers of her amazing country. Hakuoro tells her to stop it and Kuuya confesses: It was her first time on the battlefield and she can’t take all the killings she has done. How longer Kuuya is on the screen, how more annoying she gets to me.

Part four: I had some problems understanding (all those difficult names and so.^^) but it comes to this that the badguy is some servent of Kuuya t hat has power as well and goes invading other countries without any reason. Just when I thought that there would no longer be an annoying badguy with an annoying laugh, the creators have an replacement. Argh.

My thoughts about this: I’ve finished Wolf’s Rain yesterday evening, why on earth do I watch another of those series once again? Those robots don’t fit this anime at all, and it’s just as stupid as in Wolf’s Rain the giantic Walrus. That was also stupid. I fear for the coming episodes because it’s going to be worse. Sign… With these science-fiction robots that don’t fit this anime at all, it is not going to be good.

xxxHolic 19 - Awesome Snowballfight

I have seen this episode a couple of days ago, so I will be quick about this episode. Also because I don’t really have the mood to write anything at this moment, but shall we ignore that? It’s snowing, and that gives Yuuko a great idea and she invites the whole bunch (Mokona, Himawari, Doumeki, the Rain Spirit, the Vestal Spirit and Wanatuki) to the park for a snowballfight. But not just an ordinary snowballfight, no, this time you’ll have to make a snowman, and with that and your imagination you can fight. Mokona built a giant Mokona and when I mean giant I mean really huge, Doumeki had some warrior of snow and of cans, Wanatuki had a bunny (^^), the Vestal Spirit a pegasus, the Rain spirit the god of the wind and of the rain, Himawari something cute and Yuuko had a warrior with a canon that was driven by Maru and Moro back at the shop. The first winning price was a pandora box, a box that can give you anything you desire.

After some hilarious fights only Wanatuki and his snowbunny and Yuuko were left. But, Maru and Moro couldn’t find any snow for the cannon, so Yuuko was out of armoury, and by some stupid thing she was defeated. But right when Wanatuki wanted to open the box, Yuuko asked what he was going to cook for the dinner.. And in the box was the dinner. Wanatuki was so pissed after that that it wasn’t any fun left. Yuuko had a nice tactic though.^^

What really weird was, was the behaviour of Wanatuki. In this episode he was just a jerk, he wouldn’t participate, and wanted to leave as soon as possible. True, Mokona and Yuuko were really ordering Wanatuki around, more then normally, but to act that way then.. He really was a giantic jerk. And even so, because there are only 8 episodes left, Yuuko and Mokona do have a reason to act this way. The only thing is that Wanatuki doesn’t notice. I liked this episode, I wish I could have some snowballfights like that too.^^ And I have to say, Yuuko was really funny this episode.

Wolf’s Rain review - 45/100

Just a moment ago I finished this anime. An interesting note with that is that I started to watch this in Februar. It’s August by now. That means it took me half a year to get to watch it. And don’t get me wrong, this is not due to the problem of slow subbers. No, it’s because I couldn’t watch more then 3 episodes in the month. This month I have the record of 10 episodes. Hoorray for me. Anyway, the side note. Wolf’s Rain is well, you could call it quite interesting. The plot is something weird as well. According to this anime, humans are born out of wolfs. Yes. Wolfs are supposed to be death for 200 years, and there was no survival. Yes. But wait, there are! Those wolfs that are remained left, are heading for Paradise. A place only wolfs can open. Yes. With those quest, they need a Flower Girl (once again, Yes), that can talk and can sing and looks just like a human. Oh btw, wolfs are deceiving humans. Every wolf in this anime has two artstyles: One human, and one wolf. Then I keep on wondering.. How on earth this those wolfs get those shoes? If they are in the wolf form, do they have the shoes left? Because when they turn back, they have the shoes. But they don’t when they are wolfs. Just a small note. This may look good on paper, but this anime fails and fails.

The biggest problem in this anime is that the creators tried to experiment with the word ‘coincidence’. People or wolfs keep on running in to each other with NO reason at all. And this happens every episode, at least 5 times. And the fun continues! The creators meant all this horse crap serious. Even the lovers. This even becomes laughable at one moment, the legendary scene of a beautiful woman and a beautiful men running around happily in a flowerfeild. And this is meant serious. I don’t know if anyone here has ever watched Excel Saga? Well, watch that before you watch this because it will make this anime a lot more fun.^^ (I talk about episode 22, with the alien that reminded Hyatt when they were small, the same thing, only meant serious.) I would also like to know how on earth those wolfs can jump a distance of 30 meters without any problem. If anyone has the answer, please tell me.^^ Those wolfs are just as fast when they are running for like a month, without much food and drink, and they are moving just as fast as the space ships of the badguys. Yeah. There are a lot of mistakes in this anime. Wolfs get shot for really no reason and the next episode they are just as jumpy as always and like nothing happened. For one example.

And I haven’t even started about the predictability-level of this anime. Every episode you know what’s going to happen. At least 5 minutes before it actually happens. This can be a lot of fun, I have to say that. Episode 11 really made it laugh by it, that was the worst.

Also, the main characters. We have the lonely silent though dude, of course the annoying little brat (that really annoyed the hell out of me with his whining), the carefree guy and the punk. All of them are stupid enough to take the flower girl that needs water and light to survive to the ’Forest of Death’ (corny, isn’t it?), a place that has no water and no light, and are suprised afterwords that she almost died. That was the most stupid scene ever. And don’t get me started about the giant half blinded Walrus and the annoying know-it-all Owl. That was .. stupid. The side characters are interesting as well, an old man with a dog that hunts for wolfs because he hates them. The ironic part is that his dog is in fact, a wolf. Of course. We also have the work-a-holic woman and the divorced man of her. Duuuh. The reason that I couldn’t watch more then 3 episodes in the month is because of the old man because he can give me headache with his whining and drinking.

O btw, this anime has the record of not one, not two, not three, but 4 frigging recap episode. I really recommend to anyone to skip episode 15 untill episode 19. Or, start to watch episode 15 and skip the frigging rest that went before it. You won’t miss anything. Then the fun and the drama continues. The drama is btw really heavy, but it is so stupid sometimes that I really laugh about it.

But I have to say that when episode 27 comes that everything takes a weird turn. My explination for it is that the creators finally realised that every character had to die at least one time in the anime because he got hurt or shot or something, and the creators try to make up for it to kill off more then the half of the cast. For really no reason at all. That was also interesting. Episode 27, 28 and 29 are better written then the rest, untill you slap yourself on the forehead once again because you find out the direction the anime is going for the end. That is the most corny end ever.

Another small notes, this is a high-budget anime. The art looks nice, the music is nice. But I have to get over the scene where two parties killed of eachother and the last guy standing was killed by an armoury. Or so it looked. There are a lot of more mistakes during this anime, but I won’t name them all. I recommend this anime for one that wants to critize an anime, and for one that likes highlighted anime. And for one that is bored.

I have some thoughts about this when I saw it. One: Damn it was short. Two: Hm, it looks a bit like Mahou Shoujotai. And Mahou Shoujotai is great, so I have high expectations of this anime. This is the flash anime, and it only goes around for 4 minutes. With the themesong included. Without the themesong, only two and a half minute. That’s short. It really is. The pace is great, nice and fast, and I like it. I also like the flash, only I have to say that the close ups don’t work. Furthermore I can’t complain. This could be potentional to get great so..

The maincharacter is someone that I can’t say anything about yet. The only thing I know for certain that episode two will be great and that this is a war anime. I’m going to watch it further.

The anime about the monster hunter that fell in love with a monster. The first thing to notice is that the art is so messy! And some can watch it, some can’t. I can’t. It’s too messy for me and it doesn’t work though. The monkey was funny, but he was just weird. I don’t like the characters as well. But even so, it remained a bit enjoyable. I’m going to watch it further, I’m just fearing that I might lose my interest in this. When they met eachother the other time, it was just too coincident. Some times that can work, it doesn’t work here though.

Tsubasa Chronicle 39 - Coincidences? ^^

Okay, this episode really showed the stupidity of Tsubasa Chronicle. But even so, it remained really enjoyable. This episode piled up all the coincidences possibly and even so, it remained enjoyable. I also liked the fact that ’takethemopedofhtebadguy-plan’ failed, and that they all got on the bus like nothing happened. But anyway, the coincidences start:

1) the woman with the black hair appears to be a developper of the Train Bus programm. So she can re-programm everything in the bus. But she is on the run because she worked too hard and she wants to finds the answers.
2) The couple appear to be a popsinging idol and her manager that are on the run for the media. Thjey think that it is not possible that an idol and a manager can be together.
3) the truck with the feather has a flat tire.
4) To pase up the tension, a train is coming by as well.
5) The old man appears to be a mechican in the old days.
6) He lied.^^
7) They just couldn’t reach the truck in time (duh) so Kurogane lets Syoaran to jump over the train.
8) He hangs on the truck.
9) Of course, the enemies arrive.^^
10) Everybody in the train bus lasers the hell out of them.
11) Syoaran gets the feather.

How unexpected. But even so, Enjoyable. I also loved the moment with the badguys and the cops. That was beautiful. This episode was slow paced, but this made it so enjoyable. The actionscenes were also done with a nice musictheme. ^^

First Impression: Jang Geum’s Dream

This anime got subbed really slow, as you can consider this was aired in the Spring Season. And I don’t know why, because I really had an enjoyable time watching it. It’s about a girl in the Japanese early 16 century. The girl is called Jang Geum, her dream is to cook. She wants to make people happy with her cooking and this episode ending invited her to do a test for the royal kitchen thingey. I like that fact that she has learned this from her passed away mother, it gives some drama on the show, even if it is corny. That’s one half of the anime, the other half is included with ninja’s, and I so like the music and the settings for that. Especially the fight with the boar was really good. I’m curious about the coming episodes, I’m going to watch this.

Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni 20 - Sadistic bitch.

With this episode, Shion is a demon more and more. And I hate her more and more. Her arguments don’t make any sence, she is just killing off the whole village, she’s talking to shadows, has suicide tensions, and has a new hobby to torture her victims. I think Mion is going to be on the way soon. The episode started with Shion that called Keiichi. The known conversation, and when Keiichi started to lose it, she hang up on him because ’he was annoying and made her icecream melt’. The most sadistic argument ever. I hate her. Keiichi is nice this arc. Anyway, after that she called the Furude family to inform if the Head had returned and suggested to go search for him. And of course, she didn’t mention that that guy was spending some time in her torture room.

Shion is going to have some fun with him and she starts to get really freaked out once again while she is questioning him. The Head of the Furude family doesn’t have that much power, everything is decided by Onibaba. Who died the first?…
Onibaba. Shion already had her revenge on Satoshi, but for some crazy reason, she begins to kill off the whole village. Well. of course, that does make sence. Is it just me that I can’t follow her arguments anymore or is that bitch just crazy? I hope option 2. Anyway, she goes to the well, and starts to talk to her shadow. Or, the shadow of Satoshi, telling her to live on. That’s the weirdest thing to say to a murderes-crazy-bitch. So we can conclude two options:
1) Satoshi is weird.
2) Shion is just imaginating these things and is creating in her head the perfect Satoshi. Dream on, bitch. I don’t think Satoshi would have approved that Shion is planning to kill his beloved sister.

Anyway, the bitch continues and starts to talk to Mion, and doesn’t believe that she couldn’t do anything about the murder of Satoshi. SHION! THINK! Mion doesn’t have any power, everyone is telling you that. The one that makes the decisions, is Onibaba. She is already dead. Idiot. But Mion is meanwhile losing it, and that can’t be too good. I fear for the life of Mion because I think she is going to be tortured as well before Keiichi finds her.

after that, the only enemies that Shion still sees are: Keiichi (because he knows that she went inside the Shrine), Rika (the next head of the Furude), Satako (if only she had died instead of Satoshi, that argument is really horse crap. It really is. And she thinks that Satoshi would be sad, but all wounds can be healed. She wants to lighten up Satoshi’s heart. BITCH. Shion doesn’t realise that this argument doesn’t cooperate with her. Time heals all wounds. Also Shions wounds. Annoying bitch.) But anyway, the one being taken care of is Rika this episode. Shion attacks her with the question what she knows, and Rika gives her anwers that she couldn’t tie a rope on it. I didn’t understand it either. Her arguments don’t make any sence. In the end, she slaps Rika in the face and she leaves.

In the evening, Rika returns, with a huge bottle because she wants to lend some sauce. Shion says to wait, but the cute Rika has some nice arguments and they both walk to the store of the Sonozaki house. Rika scares the hell out of Shion, because she is so cute. I have to say, with the ‘Mew’, that was too adorable. In the store, we see the real intentions of Rika, or should I say Oyashiro-sama. Rika has found out the intentions of Shion and wants to end it herself, with Oyashiro-sama in her. Rika attacks Shion and wants to use the drugs in episode 4. But, because Rika is only a year of 8 and Shion is a year of 16, Shion wins of course and wants to torture Rika. Rika says that she doesn’t care if she dies, but she doesn’t want to give Shion the fun of her torture. Rika commits suicide. Shion laughs because ’she has won’. Yeah. Sure. The episode ended with Satako that called Shion to ask if Rika was still there. Shion invites Satako and we all know what happens.

I hate Shion so much in this episode. She doesn’t make any sence. Thank god the victims are almost over, and then we are moving to Rena! Yaaay!

xxxHolic 18 - The Demon Parade

This was a great episode. Wanatuki was cleaning up, and a cat look a like came out of a picture and started to talk to Yuuko. They were good friends, and the cat gave Wanatuki a lantern with which he could participate. With what wasn’t clear. He (annoyed^^) and Doumeki go there, and the letter of Yuuko really cracked me up. And of course the reaction of Wanatuki. That was too funny, even when Mokona, Moro and Maru also gave a note in the letter, saying that Wanatuki was a predictable idiot. Wanatuki was too funny.^^

Anyway, it’s the Demon Parade, the yearly thingey parade for demons and gods to walk with laterns. Doumeki and Wanatuki hold on to the lantern, but the moment they arrive with the big (talking) tree, Wanatuki trips and falls over, letting go of the lantern. They are discovered and the demons plan to eat the two of them. A bit of panick, and the twerps try to save them, the Vestal Spirit (while she is too cute), tries to save him, but the one who succeeds is the fox kid. And he was too cute too. And I just have to admit it, I was a bit scared the moment they got chased. I really was. The tree gives them nectar and they are off once again.

And when they got back: The intention of Yuuko: she loves the nectar, because she was already waiting for them. Wanatuki gets drunk and goes to sleep peacefully, and Doumeki asks why she didn’t just wait for them in the shop? Doumeki would disrupted the balance if he went inside, because he doesn’t need anything. Wanatuki does, so he can enter the shop. I liked this episode, Wanatuki was just too funny.^^

Ouran High School Host Club 19 - Lo-Be-Li-A?!?!?!

I’m back from my holiday, so I’m going to catch up all the anime. Expect short posts.^^ This time, Haruhi got kidnapped by the Zuka Club of the Lobelia maidens. The Host Club found out and they were all too funny. The Zuka Club was meanwhile trying to get an annoyed Haruhi into their school and because of pity Haruhi joined the theater because ’Beni had a dream to become just like her mother in the theater’ (or what I would call: A lie).

Meanwhile, the Host Club was panicking and even the father of Haruhi was afraid that something would had happen to her, so they went to the Lobelia school, dressed up like fans, and got to the theaterthingey. While they were there, they got by the minute more and more scared because Haruhi can’t act, or can’t sing, and that she would be beaten by some yankees the moment she ruined the show. The show self: it was a revenge act for Beni to steal Haruhi’s first kiss in front of the host club, but she didn’t knew that Haruhi already lost her first kiss at the dance party so the Host Club panicked because her father found out, the Zuka club tried to kiss her once again, and the father was as angry as hell. They all slipped on a banana and the end.

I don’t really what to think about this episode. This episode really had his good points, the kidnapping, the ‘Lo-be-li-a?!?!!?’ and the expressions of Tamaki, but I so do not like that ending! What kind of ending is that? Slipping on a banana peal, with a lot of make up, and that she of course bumped into Tamaki. And I don’t like that Zuka action, that she wanted to kiss her if Haruhi was an object and her opinion doesn’t count in this place. What kind of person are you t hen?
But, let’s face it, the face expressions were the best.

Fruits Basket 16 - Jason the horror bear.^^

Before I get started, an announcement: I’ll be gone in this weekend, to enjoy some holiday. I’m going to Helsinki, and I will be back by Monday. Just a small note for the ones who read this, but I assume that aren’t too many. ^^

This time, Shigure came up with a great idea. Let’s all go on a trip! Of course, Yuki and Kyou don’t want to go and they wonder why on earth Shigure gets to that idea so sudden. But alas, Tohru isn’t that difficult. Only by saying that he really wanted to go on a trip with her, and she is going already. That means that Kyou and Yuki are coming as well. I mean, Shigure and Tohru on one trip, only the two of them? I fear for the life of Tohru that moment. So, they all went. Including Hatori because Shigure doesn’t have a driver licence.

‘I dont see why I should be mistrusted’
You big liar.^^
The place they went was a little cottage with a lake. It looks really beautiful, and Tohru is just fond of it, and Yuki and Kyou take her to the lake. Of course, before that, Shigure has to tell them something that isn’t true. He claims that Jason is a new version of a bear. Kyou and Tohru buy it. Hatori and Yuki don’t.^^ Especially Tohru, she buys those things far to easily. If you claimed that chickens are from out of space, she would have asked which planet they are from.^^ Everyone except Tohru is wondering too why on earth Shigure suggested so suddenly that they should go on a trip. Shigure lies and everybody knows about it. Shigure can be such a bad liar.^^ But anyway, the ‘youngsters’ went away.

And then, Hatori asked if Shigure is doing this to torment his supervisor again. And yes, he did suggested this trip to torment his supervisor. Luckily for her, Hatori forced Shigure to call her. At that time, she almost commited suicide and didn’t stop with crying. When Shigure hang up the phone, he was crying as well.^^ Because it wasn’t fun. Hatori is not laughing either. But I was. ^^

Meanwhile, Tohru is having some trouble. The atmosphere with those two is so thick that it’s making her nervous and insecure. I mean, those two aren’t even bickering and telling eachother how much they hate each other!
She is thinking of all the things that might have created this and she thinks it’s her fault. That they are angry at her, and so, suddenly, she starts apologizing. For nothing. Yuki and Kyou are shocked by it, untill the moment they discovered ‘Jasons footprints’. Well, Tohru panicked, Kyou as well, and Tohru tripped and fell down a hill. We know then what happens. Yes. The guys want to catch her, and they both transform. Another reason for Tohru to cry again while she is apologizing and she goes to pick up everyones cloths.
When she is gone, they start to bicker once more.^^ The things they said to each other made me conclude two things: Kyou is an idiot and they are both funny.

And this, it even cracks Tohru up. She is so relieved that everything goes back to normal once again that she started to laugh, even while she knows that laughing about people bickering isn’t that funny. Yuki and Kyou tell her what was up with them and declare their hate towards each other once again. It was really cute to see, and also so funny. Because it’s late already, they plan to go to the lake the next day.

And the next day…

AYA COMES! Of course! He was invited by Shigure and the moment he came in, he acted just as he always acted. Idiotic in front of Shigure, lovable in front of Yuki, saying that he wants to strength their brotherly bond. It was so funny once again, and Hatori was just hilarious in this situation. Not so hilarious as Aya, I know, that guy can’t be any worse than this. Kyou is depressed once again, and the youngsters take their leave, fast after this happened. ^^ We have some nice scenes with Shigure, Hatori and Ayame. And the real reason of the trip: Kana was getting married, and Shigure wanted to take Hatori out of that situation for a while, that he didn’t know what happened. Hatori is still hurt by it, and the conversation is really good too, and Ayame was really nice, saying that he wants Hatori to be a thousand time as happy as Kana is, because Kana DID forget about him. Hatori smiled and said that Ayame should use this aggressive attitude also with Yuki. Don’t do that.^^

Kyou and Yuki are having a fight once again about Ayame, and of course, it got a bit out of control. Tohru didn’t really understand and it was good and all once again and they walked around the lake. Really nice scene, also it was a bit hilarious.^^

Behold the logical thinking of Ayame. We know what happens afterwords.^^

This was a really nice episode, quite hilarious and quite idiotic. I loved it, and Hatori was nice once again, so was everybody. And of course, who wouldn’t adore the ‘Jason’thingey. It still cracks me up.^^

Ouran High School Host Club 18 - 10 reasons to send Honey to the kindergarden

I’ll give my lord of the rings collection away for the one that can rid us off this annoying little kid. He just doesn’t fit in this anime. Let him just eat cakes (I can’t stand that word anymore because I hear this annoying voice all the time-.-) somewhere off screen and just let him alone. Or just shoot him. Maybe Mori will act normal after that. I just hate that character of a Honey. He doesn’t fit the character of this anime. Sometimes, those little boys can work, but he, it doesn’t work in this anime. It really doesn’t. Of course with this character, of course he has to be the strongest person ever. That contrast had to be there. I admit it’s fun for only one time, but this is getting pretty annoying. Idiot. And that brother of him, is also not helping. He is just a kid that doesn’t aprove anything that’s not normal. So a brother that eats cakes and is strong, is hated. Well yeah. I don’t say that Honey’s behaviour is normal too, but this brother is almost the same as Honey is.

This episode was all Honey. And it really sucked and was so annoying. It was even so annoying that I refuse to write a decent review about it so I’ll be short. Honey sees his little brother. And they start fighting, and Honey is better. The brother is annoyed because the one that is the heir of their family eats cakes, and doesn’t really care about the dojo. Yeah. Nice. And we have the past of Honey, and that he had for some years to be pretending to be someone else, someone that doesn’t like cakes. Tamaki disrupted that with his Host club. and Honey became his self. And that’s something his brother can’t understand because it’s driving him nuts. So, they start fighting once again, Honey wins and they eat cake. Yeah. How come this sounds so annoying?

Even so, we’re going to the question: Are there 10 reasons to send Honey back to the kindergarten? Yes.
1) He can eat all the cake he wants.
2) We’re not bothered by him.
3) If he is gone, Mori will act normal too.
4) In the kindergarten there are more people of the same level of him.
5) Just think of how powerfull he can be there! With the kiddies, and he is the powerfull mighty Honey that can knock out even his father. The kiddies will be glad to be with him and they will be protected by him and that can strengthen the bond with the two families and that is good for Honey.
6) That voice is just pissing me off, and he will not be in screen if he is sent back to the kindergarten.
7) He has then all the time to grow up.
8) The Host Club is rid off him, he will not be missed because he has no value added in the Host Club.
9) Kyouya will be happy because the cakes of Honey are expensive.
10) Those girls have every week another favourite, Honey is replacable.

That sounds nice if Honey is gone. If only Renge will act as a babysitter for that, we’re rid off all the incredibly annoying characters of Ouran High School Host Club. Or Tamaki and Kyouya should just fire Renge and I’m happy too. And send Honey back to the kindergarten, please.

Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni 19 - Damn, she’s annoying.

I never thought that Shion could be so annoying and that she could be so idiotic. All in the love of the revenge of Satoshi? Come on, please. The episode started with that Shion realised that everything was planned by the Estate of the Sonozaki’s, so also Satoshi’s death. She got so angry, that she knocked-out her sister with some interesting device (how did she get that, anyway?) and she did the same thing with Onibaba. They went underground, Mion was put into a prison and she was questioned about what she knew of the Estate. Appearantly, Mion is only a spokeperson of Onibaba and the grandmother is making alone all the decisions. That’s it. Because two people are dead now, there have to be two sacrifises. Shion asked Mion about the Shrine, she didn’t know. Nice going Shion! Really brilliance to guess something like that.

After questioning Mion, Shion moves on to Onibaba. Well, she’s dead. Shion gets so upset that she tortures the death body anyway, because she died so easily, without an apology to Satoshi and without suffering any pain. Well. That was interesting, and she keeps on nagging about this Satoshi. Really annoying. But well, she hears the footsteps once more and gets crazy once again. Interesting. She asks Mion about the hidden well and she reveals why she killed Onibaba. It’s not because she is the perpetrator of the murder of Satoshi, it’s because she lied. The promise of the three fingernails, after that Satoshi and she had to be left alone with all the things. It was settled. And even so, the promise wasn’t kept. And that made her furious, and made Mion scared. Shion threatened Mion as well, if Mion had lied, she’ll face some torturing. If she told the truth, she is save. Because we all know what happened in the second arc with the Mion/Shion thing in the end, we can say that Shion believes that Mion lies. Everyone has to take their preparations for the coming episode. For sure.

Shion comes up with a great plan. She tells some people that she was in the Shrine, and she pretends to be Mion. So everyone thinks that Shion has died, while she’s still alive. Poor Mion. And poor Keiichi, because he has to be going as well. Shion scares him with the scenes we all knew, so that’s also settled. I wondered about it in the second arc, now some things make more sence. She even told as Mion the whole Estate that Shion went inside the Shrine with Keiichi. That’s what I call stupid. She said that Shion was taken care of, and Keiichi: Not Yet. Poor Keiichi. She asked the father of Rika to her house because ‘Onibaba had something to tell her’. They talked a bit and it got to the Shion thingeything. Shion had torn out her third nail for herself, not for Satoshi. Satoshi was never mentioned because of his family. Shion got furious and used the handydandy thingeything once again. The preparations are ready for the next episode. Shion is just an annoying little bitch.

Pani Poni Dash! review - 90/100

Pani Poni Dash! Is one of the better comedies, it shines in it’s characters. Every episode made me so laugh, and it was just great. Pani Poni Dash uses much of parodies, that makes the situation even greater. And of course, every story in this anime, it just doesn’t make any sence. The main plot is the coming. Miyamoto Rebecca, or Becky, is a progidy, that had completed her study on M.I.T on the age of 10 years old. She went to Japan to teach in a high school, 1-C. The creators made an excellent job in her character, she is a spoiled brat that has the wonderful line to tell her students to not pick on her:
I’m the teacher you know! And a genius!
The only problem is, this line doesn’t work in front of her class.

The girls in her class are the following: The Forehead (Miyako), the Plain Girl (Kurumi), the Nice Girl (Rokugo), the Sarcastic girl (Rei), ‘Unable to Undestimate’ (Ichijo) and the Omega Maho Idiot(Himeko). Everyone of them has a different character and in combination they are all great. They want to have lessons of their new teacher, but they can’t help to fool around some times, and of course when Becky lacks of. Becky is one lazy girl, that’s for sure.^^ But even so, these girls aren’t always in the picture. When that’s not the case we see the teachers of the other class (Jiji, an alcoholist and a sportman), or we see the animals (The cat in the vending machine, the kero and of course: Mesousa), or in the other case, the persons of the other classes. There is a huge amount of side characters, and everyone of the sidecharacters has their own story and their own character. In combination, this means it’s a great laugh. And let’s not forget the aliens that are observing Becky. I don’t know why, but they are so funny, and of course, this whole situation, it doesn’t make any sence.

The episodes are all randomn, and all the episodes don’t make any sence. You can say that in every episode, the situation gets a ‘bit’ out of control. And that 26 episodes long. It is too funny, especially the little incident with the bus. That was just great. In this anime, something always happens. And it’s always weird.^^

The soundtrack is something special once again, and the OP’s are just great. Furthermore I recommend this anime for everyone that loves Azumanga Daioh and Excel Saga. This is just a combination of the two of them. The characters of Azumanga Daioh and the weirdness of Excel Saga, and here you are with Pani Poni Dash!

Fruits Basket 15 - Momiji

‘It’s the anniversary of Mother’s passing, so we’re going to go pay respects on her grave.’ she says with a smile.
Fruits Basket has a special meaning for me. Especially this episode, it can give me so much hope, and that only in such a short time. I don’t really know how that can be, but that’s one of the reasons why I’m a total Fruits Basket freak. This episode started with Torhu, asking if it was okay for her to go out on the first of May. Shigure said it was okay but he asked too where she was going. Appereantly, her mother died then a year ago and she was planning with Uotani and Hanajima to go to the grave of her mother. The Soumas are shocked by that fact, and Yuki suggested that he would come too. Kyou remained silent. Uotani and Hanajima were glad that Yuki was also coming, and smiled and they said that Kyoko would have loved Kyou, and just would have teased him and hugged him until he went mad. That would have been a bad idea, for several reasons.^^

Anyway, on the first of May, Kyou also yelled to Yuki that he would come too. Why he yelled this to Yuki and not to Tohru is a mystery for me. But well, it gave a nice fight and bickering once again. Yuki, Kyou and Tohru went to the gravesite, and waited for Uotani and Hanajima. They have some nice outfits. I must say too, Tohru looks good in black, she really does.^^ When they reached the grave, it was all clean and nice. The grandfather of the father of Tohru must have done that. Yuki asks what happened to the father of Tohru. Tohru answered that her father died of the complications of a cold, and that she doesn’t really remember much of it, she was just a small girl back then. In the manga, we have also another explination. Remember Yuki in episode ten when he caught a cold? Tohru was so worried about him, that must have been the reason. Kyou is meanwhile avoiding Hanajima, we see that in one shot in the anime, the manga has more of it. He asks of her powers and so on, and he is really down at that moment. Why, I don’t know yet, the manga has yet to be read. Oooh, nice line. I’m just with Volume 8.

That moment, Yuki realised how weird it was for someone that lost both of her parents and was still able to smile like this. He remembered one year ago that Tohru was called out of the class and that he wondered vaguely by himself what might had happened. It’s so weird for that girl to smile like that still, and it’s even weirder for him and her to smile together in one house. But well, they go all picknicking in front of the grave of Kyoko. The best way to pay your respect, though it’s a little uncommon.^^

They leave and we have an interesting scene with Hanajima and Uotani. They say that Tohru has hang in there, and they wonder too why on earth Torhu can be so happy. Hanajima just can’t understand it, because if she loses someone that is important to her, say Tohru, it would be so hard on her that she rather wished that they have never met. But Tohru, she must have scolded herself a thousand of times for getting discouraged, and also Kyou and Yuki have an influence to her behaviour. Uotani smiles and says that one day, one of the two will fall in love with her and say that they really like her. Hanajima get’s a bit evil because she won’t allow Torhu to get married, because it made her so sad. And she said, that Yuki and Kyou have something with them. Their heart is filled with hatred, that lingers on in them. As long that hate remains, there is no room for love. She wants to tell them about it, but those two seem dim when it comes to such things. Torhu is just the same.

This is one part of the episode, the other half focussed on Momiji and Tohru. And that part was just incredible, I just can’t say different then I loved it. And I will love it because it can give me hope and can stop me of discouraging. But anyway, Tohru is working, and Momiji comes by and helps her. Tohru is suprised and asks what he is doing her. The building belongs to the father of Momiji. We know Tohru is slow, but it’s always kind of funny.^^ Momiji tells about his parents, and shows some pictures. His father is Japanese, his mother is abroad. I know from the manga that she is German. She does look like a German woman, that’s true. And then, Momiji tells that his mother doesn’t know him.

One second later, the mother arrives. It’s a bit too coincidence, but this is nicely done, otherwise I can get annoyed or I can’t stop laughing *coughWolf’sRaincough* The mother talks to Momiji like he is a kid in the neigbourhood. She is a bit worried and said that his mother might worry where he might be. And that’s the moment that Tohru understands the words of Momiji. His mother doesn’t know him. She leaves, and Momiji is bit annoyed because she saw him. And explained.

His mother had her memory erased. She couldn’t handle it, she couldn’t go through with it all. It can be frustrating if you love someone, and you have a child of him, and everytime you want to show your love to your child and hug it, it transforms in an animal. That must have been terribly frustrating. The mothers that have childs who are possesed can either be overprotected, or they reject them with their whole body. It was just too sad to see, even the father of Momoji couldn’t handle it anymore, and it was just so sad. His mother had a breakdown, and as soon the memories of Momiji were erased, she got better. But now is the question, has he really helped his mother? And we get the incredibly livelesson. Even if Momiji has sad memories, even if all he does is running away, even if the memories are so painful that he just wants to forget about them, he keeps on living with the memories. If he doesn’t run away from them, he can keep believing that one day, that he will overcome those memories. That he can make peace with those memories. That he even can transcend them. And that’s why he didn’t want his mother to forget him. But that would have been selfish of him.

Tohru agrees with him and just hugs him. It was so nice to see that I couldn’t resist to take a picture of this too. I loved this episode.

Utawarerumono 19 - I guess I had my hopes too high..

Idiot.
The last two episodes showed me that Utwarerumono could be becoming something. Now, I’ll take back my words. This was garbage once again, of the two stubborn siblings of the brother that couldn’t recognize his own sister, Karura. It was TOO obvious.

They fight for the freedom of the Karurawutaterei or something like that, something unpronouncable. The emperor of that country is no other than a madman in love with Karura. That was so stupid. They win, of course (talk about plainless, do they ever lose?), and Karura and the rest of them leaves in an instand. Well…

Nice? No I don’t think so. I don’t even have the mood to review more about it because I can’t understand that two siblings. The brother is so blind that he couldn’t even recognize his own sister. They look the same, the sister has some shorter name, and has the same strength. OF COURSE SHE’S HIS SISTER!! But he took two episodes just to realise that. Idiot. Karura denies that she is his sister, but only that to avoid her past and that she has become someone else. Something I can’t understand either, and also that the conversation is closed with the saying that Karura is an idiot. Well. If you know you’re an idiot, you can change. Sign. This was garbage, once again. Didn’t like it at all.

Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni - I’ll take preparations for episode 19.

I’ll be honest. I don’t like the fact that might be coming the next episode. In fact, I can’t even pronounce it. Episode 17 showed me that Higurashi can be pretty disgusting. Episode 19, it’s going to be worse. Much worse. We know how Shion and Keiichi and Rika and Satako and just everybody ended? Well. Eehm. Yeah. I don’t want to know. But, the next episode will be watched with a bucket, my wonderful bottle full of water (it helped me a lot with episode 17… great defence of the horrors..), tissues, an empty stomach, and earplugs. If anyone has a great idea that I’ve missed, please feel free to tell me about it.

Anyway, before I already get disgusted out before I’ll see that episode, let’s talk about this suprisingly, pretty quiet, nice, cute, and also fearing episode. Shion continues to go crazy. Mion got by as well, because she felt guilty. Shion said that she forgave her, but the moment when Mion begun about Satoshi, the demon inside Shion woke up. Wait? Wasn’t Mion the one with the demon?.. Ooh dear, this going to be pretty confusing with the time we’ll find out. Even so, Shion had killertensions and almost killed her beloved sister. Untill she saw Mion nails.. Well eeuhm. Yeah. Mion said that it was unfair and she did the ‘***’ as well to please her grandmother and so Satoshi and Shion could live together. Satoshi ran off. WAIT! Wasn’t Mion the murderer of Satoshi?! Appearently, not. Who then? That old hag? A well. We shall see.

One year later, dejavu with the dialect punks. And who’s coming to the rescue..? Satoshi # 2. Oh no, this guy name is Keiichi. Baka. Keiichi showed that he can be really funny.^^ Shion got more information from Mion. Mion is in love with Keiichi. Duuh! And of course, she talked about the notorious-to-Rena-given-doll. That did hurt, and Shion teased her a bit and it was really funny to see Mion so giddly about it. But meanwhile, Shion didn’t forgot about Satoshi. Oh-oh.

The scene after that, was hilarious. Keiichi had mistaken Shion for Mion and Mion saw them holding hand in hand. We saw Shion pulling one arm of Keiichi, and Mion the other one. Shion was so funny and she let go because otherwise her sis would start to bite her. Keiichi thanked her and patted her on the head, and Shion while having flashbacks run off. Mion was just GREAT then, giving everyone tasks like Rena should stand on guard duty, Satako should do the traps, and Rika should throw some salt.^^

Shion, was too upset and for the first time, said she hated Keiichi, she heard the notorious footsteps. I keep on wondering why on earth she is loving Satoshi so much. I mean, how long did she know that guy? I guess 2 weeks. Not more. Adolescent.
Oooh! Also btw, she met Takano in the libary, that gave her more information about the festival. The Wanatagashi was about to start, and Takano already informed her that she went to the Shrine storehouse. Shion already knew what was inside, but she thought that it would be good to see what happened to Satoshi. But she didn’t dare to go alone, and so Keiichi came along as well. We know what happened after that. Shion kept hearing the footsteps, panicked, and at home, she heard Mion and the Old Hag talking about the new victim, Mion looked scary and Shion scared.^^

Will be continued. I fear for the coming episode. This will include what happened to Shion or Mion and it doesn’t look to well. We all know what happened back then. Well. Euhm. Let’s say that I’m a little scared for a episode 17 flashback.

Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni 17 - Finally have the guts to blog about it!

Yeah. I’m afraid of this episode. The reason should be clear. I’ve seen this episode one week ago, and I just couldn’t blog about it. This means that this review is going to be short. And yeah, I have to blog Higurashi 18 as well so I have no chose. Well.^^

In summary of this episode: Shion felt still down because what happened in Higurash 16. Mion called her to say that Satoshi called her, to apologize to her and said to Shion that she had to call him. So she did and they both apologize for what they have done. Satoshi started to act strange, just like Keiichi before did. We know then, Satoshi is going to kill his aunt. Just like Keiichi killed the uncle. And yeah, he killed her, with the bat. Of course. Satoshi asked Mion/Shion to take care of Satako during the Wanatagashi. This makes me wonder, because how did Mion know about Keiichi? Unless he called to Shion without realising it. Or something like that.

After Satoshi killed his aunt, he didn’t run off. Shion hears from Mion that the aunt was killed. Shion dressed up like Mion and she run into Satoshi. He looks really bad. Like he hasn’t slept in ages. Then, things look bad when Oishi comes by. He wants to ask Satoshi some questions about his aunt and we can all see the direction this is going. Shion stands up for him and reveals her true indentity. They go to the policestation, later Shion is picked up by some maffiaguys of the Sonozakifamily. This is going to be troublesome.

Their grandmother is in a rage, and Mion takes Shion to the special basement and we can see that Shion was never been there before. Let’s not talk about the following scenes. Shion revealed her love for Satoshi, and said that she didn’t care for everything. The family was outraged. She had to tear out 3 fingernails because of her mistakes and that she would been forgiven. If not, the people that helped her would see some trouble. Including Satoshi.

Ouch.

After that, Satoshi dissapeared. If he had fleed, or Mion got to him, I don’t know. In fact, I don’t want to know. I was totally disgusted out by this. Naah, I can’t handle this scenes too well. Apologizes for the late review and the quality of it.

xxxHolic 17 - Fake glasses^^

Yuuko was great this episode! We have in the beginning a customer of Yuuko’s shop, and they are just staring at each other. The clock goes ticktack and the atmosphere is too heavy. The next scene, we see a annoyed Wanatuki because he had to go to some station and open a lock, in that lock was a note: Fake glasses. He was so pissed, that it was great to see. He bought some fake glasses, in the cheapest place he could find.

He sees the woman of the shop at the stopsigns. It’s red, and a moped came by. The woman threw herself on the road, and got herself hit by the moped. Wanatuki panicked, called an ambulance, rode with her to the hospital and bought her some flowers. She throws them on the floor without a reason, and apologized for it. Wanatuki was worried about it and told Yuuko what happened. He told that the woman, Nurie, said that she has always done such a thing. That she deliberatly did what she shouldn’t do. Failing an exame, pressing a button when she shouldn’t do it and so on and so on. Yuuko told him to bring the woman to the shop, and tried to explain some behaviour of her. If you win 300 million yen, would you accept it?

The woman comes and says she wants to take control. After Yuuko knew that she was going to throw a cup of coffee to her, and stopped her. Instead of granting the womans wish, she just gives her the ’special’ glasses. Yuuko said that her feelings, if they are right or wrong, they are still your feelings. And they may be weird, but they are still yours. Happiness is for everyone different. If she wore the glasses, the woman would be in control to take the right step. Wanatuki wanted to protest because the glasses were so cheap as ever, but Yuuko didn’t let him and the woman left the shop. Yuuko explained the behaviour.

To get happiness, you have to deal also with sorrow. Those two things hold themself in balance. If you want to get up on a higher road, you must suffer also a lower part. The woman wasn’t stupid, she just wanted to protect herself from that lower part. To throw herself in front of a moped, so what? It was only a moped. If it was a truck, she wouldn’t do that! She just wanted to escape an important meeting because it was so stressing. Even if she got promoted. The woman did pay, she gave away her escape route. She can’t go escaping no more.

I liked this episode, Wanatuki was really great in it. Yuuko was even greater, if that was possible with her mysteries and so. Liked it very much! Yuuko is totally right with all she said. This was really an episode of which you can learn. I like that kind of episodes.
