Ouran High School Host Club 18 - 10 reasons to send Honey to the kindergarden

I’ll give my lord of the rings collection away for the one that can rid us off this annoying little kid. He just doesn’t fit in this anime. Let him just eat cakes (I can’t stand that word anymore because I hear this annoying voice all the time-.-) somewhere off screen and just let him alone. Or just shoot him. Maybe Mori will act normal after that. I just hate that character of a Honey. He doesn’t fit the character of this anime. Sometimes, those little boys can work, but he, it doesn’t work in this anime. It really doesn’t. Of course with this character, of course he has to be the strongest person ever. That contrast had to be there. I admit it’s fun for only one time, but this is getting pretty annoying. Idiot. And that brother of him, is also not helping. He is just a kid that doesn’t aprove anything that’s not normal. So a brother that eats cakes and is strong, is hated. Well yeah. I don’t say that Honey’s behaviour is normal too, but this brother is almost the same as Honey is.

This episode was all Honey. And it really sucked and was so annoying. It was even so annoying that I refuse to write a decent review about it so I’ll be short. Honey sees his little brother. And they start fighting, and Honey is better. The brother is annoyed because the one that is the heir of their family eats cakes, and doesn’t really care about the dojo. Yeah. Nice. And we have the past of Honey, and that he had for some years to be pretending to be someone else, someone that doesn’t like cakes. Tamaki disrupted that with his Host club. and Honey became his self. And that’s something his brother can’t understand because it’s driving him nuts. So, they start fighting once again, Honey wins and they eat cake. Yeah. How come this sounds so annoying?

Even so, we’re going to the question: Are there 10 reasons to send Honey back to the kindergarten? Yes.
1) He can eat all the cake he wants.
2) We’re not bothered by him.
3) If he is gone, Mori will act normal too.
4) In the kindergarten there are more people of the same level of him.
5) Just think of how powerfull he can be there! With the kiddies, and he is the powerfull mighty Honey that can knock out even his father. The kiddies will be glad to be with him and they will be protected by him and that can strengthen the bond with the two families and that is good for Honey.
6) That voice is just pissing me off, and he will not be in screen if he is sent back to the kindergarten.
7) He has then all the time to grow up.
8) The Host Club is rid off him, he will not be missed because he has no value added in the Host Club.
9) Kyouya will be happy because the cakes of Honey are expensive.
10) Those girls have every week another favourite, Honey is replacable.

That sounds nice if Honey is gone. If only Renge will act as a babysitter for that, we’re rid off all the incredibly annoying characters of Ouran High School Host Club. Or Tamaki and Kyouya should just fire Renge and I’m happy too. And send Honey back to the kindergarten, please.

  1. I agree with you on the faces thing. The faces in host club are WONDERFUL.

However I must say the idea of getting rid of Honey is an ourrage. It’s part of his charm to be little and cutsey like a kid. And I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks so. He CANNOT be replaced. Host Club would not be Host Club with out him. Sometimes you have to take the good with the bad.
Your views on Honey are your and yours alone, ‘ten reasons to send him back to Kindergarden’ on a REVIEW of over all Host Club is simply juvinile. I’m glad you like Host Club but nitpicking it won’t change anything. Sometimes you need the annoying characters to appriciate the good ones.
Just because you don’t like a character doesn’t mean you have to push your values on to other people. Stating an opinion is great, recommended in fact, but having the nerve to while in the middle of reviewing an episode go all out ‘It was even so annoying that I refuse to write a decent review about it so–’ is ridiculous. If you honestly liked the series enough to take the time to review it one would think you’d like it enough to be able to put your negitive feelings for Honey aside and focuc on the over all idea of what you’re trying to get out if. Saying ‘I didn’t like it as much cause I’m personally not a fan of Honey’ yeah, that’s fine, your opinion woo-hoo, but simply smashing this episodes face down in the dirt cause it focuses on a character you don’t like is totally uncalled for here. Go rave about him on myspace, not when reviewing a series you’re recommending people to see. Honestly. Grow up and think about the message you’re displaying not only about Host Club but for yourself as a person.

  2. The very idea of getting rid of Honey is an ourrage. Host Club would not be Host Club without him.
I don’t think I’m the only person who would say that Honey’s cutness and childishness is a part of his charm. Taking the time when reviewing an episode to simply go off on a rant about how much you hate one speicific characater is ridiculous. Grow up. You are more than entitled to state your opinion ( ‘I didn’t like this episode too much personally because I’m not too keen on Honey’ would have worked just fine. ) But when reviewing an episode is NOT the time to do it. That’s the kind of thing you do on Myspace. You hate Honey so much? Go put your ‘10 reasons he should go back to kindergarnden’ thing there. Not here. ‘This episode was all Honey. And it really sucked and was so annoying. It was even so annoying that I refuse to write a decent review about it so–’ What kind of a review is that? When reviewing an episode you say what’s good and what’s bad. ( for you, Honey may be a personal opinion, but others may ADORE him)
If you honestly liked the series enough to take the time to review each episode I would THINK you’d be able to put your negitive feelings towards Honey aside and focus on the overall goodness of the series and not just point out how aweful this one character is.
This isn’t the 3rd grade where we point and make fun. I really don’t care if you hate Honey, he’s not my number one favorite character either, But jeez show some respect. The way you presented yourself in that review was childish.Show some respect for Host Club, the characters in Host Club, Hatori-sensei, other fans and yourself. Try thinking about how you make a series and yourself sound next time you decide to go bashing a character in mid-review.

  3. Thanks for the comment, I really appreciate it.
However, still after reading this, I have to conclude that Honey ruins this anime. I have a reason for critisize this character so much. I didn’t like Kyouya too, but I left him alone, if you could say that. Even when he is a bad character, I understand that he is a part of the Host Club, so that’s why I don’t critisize him.

I don’t have this same feeling with Honey. He is the same as Renge. I feel that if Honey and Renge were gone, this anime have could been so much better. I really do. Honey is a kid, and with all these ‘grown up teenagers, player types’, he just doesn’t fit. And he is the most corny character ever. You have a cute kid, of course he is a master in materials as well. It’s a contrast that can work for only one episode. Not more. I really was so annoyed when I saw episode 18, another Honey episode when he already had so many, and that’s why I wrote this review in this way. Because I have this feeling that Honey is ruining this anime. It can be fun if he was invited a couple of times as the little brother of some of these guys, but when it comes to this solution. No. I don’t feel a thing for it. Just annoyence.

I didn’t write this just because I had this mood, but I really believe that this anime would have been better without him. And I know that I might insult fans because of this, but it’s my opinion. The same I have with Renge. She has no influence on the characters, just a side character, why on earth does she has so much attention?

And you’re right. I don’t really honestly like this anime. It’s average, with episode 10, when I thought that it might had become good. Therefore, I was already blogging it, on another site. With episode 10, I thought that I would blog it. And then this comes. With the good episodes, I enjoyed the blogging. But some episodes, like this one, it just sucked. To put it bluntly.

I hope that after reading this, you can understand my opinion. Anyway, thanks for writing these comments.
