Ghost Hunt review - 78/100

I’m really glad that I have seen an anime like Ghost Hunt. Yeah I know, this anime has its flaws, but overall it was an really enjoyable time watching. This anime is based on several cases, and that already has an nice influence. We don’t see a regular plot, with the prelude, the coming tension and then a climax. That’s not the case here, so it’s really .. quiet to watch. Most of the time because damn it how freaky this anime can be!

The story goes like this: We have an organisation. And to put it simply: they hunt ghost. We have an really egoistic leader, Naru, of the organisation who blackmailed a highschool girl into the organisation for doing the rather useless jobs: Mai. But after the first arc she is hired because they need some people. You could say that these are the maincharacters. But after a couple of episodes, we see that Mai also has some special powers. She has foreseen dreams that mostly give a lot of information about what is going to happen. First she didn’t believe it and that was rather annoying, but after a while people also say: Go to sleep! maybe you are of some use to us! Further she is not really of great use. And she knows it, and it frustrates her. And then she does the most stupid things, because really wants to help as well. Some find it annoying that she really doesn’t do anything, I find it realistic. Mai knows she is powerless. And to put her in the maincharacter position.. It’s rather original.

The mastermind: Naru
And we have some really interesting side characters. The only problem is that we really don’t get the backgroundinformation about those dudes. They are just there, when they are needed and nothing more. That is a real shame because the characters are really interesting! We have Bou, a monk (but also plays in a rockband), a spoiled miko named Ayako, a girl named Masako who can sense spirits and a Christ who can exorcise. And don’t forget Lin. The only problem with him is that he is unsociable. They are all real nice characters. But they aren’t enough displayed on the screen. And that was a real shame, I think I might could really like some of the characters. I like unsociable characters, so I was really dissapointed that there was so little information given about Lin. For an example.

Anyway, except these points. I don’t have any complains left. I loved to watch this in the evening, it always gave me a nice atmosfere before I went to sleep. I can’t see anything negative about the tension. It is great. It’s really scary. The arcs, some are rather.. weird, and some scared the hell out of me. The difference in the cases is also really good to see. First we just have a poltergeist, after that a really scary woman, after that curses, and we end with a couple of terrifrying arcs. Litterly. You can really see they had put a lot of work in it, with reverences to ancient China and even to ancient Europe. There are not some real dumb cases in it, it’s always really intellectual. Except episode 13 but that was just a funny episode. I liked the ending too. The creators really put a nice way in it, and it wasn’t forced at all.

The art is nice, the music is fantastic. There is a lot of work put in the appearance of the characters, they wear something different every day. I loved it. Despise the flaws of Ghost Hunt, I can recommend it to everyone.

Death Note 21

Still. I have to admit that I ADORE the OP. XD. That as a first message. But anyway, back to the episode. This one was about Misa. You’ll see what happens when this idiots works on her own. ‘Coil’, L, had said that there is a link between L and Misa to the Yotsuba group. And of course, they wanted to see Misa. They think that she was or is the second Kira. And the real Kira thinks that too, and wants to marry her. Nice plan..

Misa, unawared for this weird plan, went to the Yotsuba group. They told her that they already knew that her parents were killed, that Kira killed the criminal, and that she was captured by L. She told them that she didn’t know that it was L. And she went to the toilet, because she needed some breath. And then!
Rem came in the picture! I loved the music in this part. Rem told her everything and pointed out to her who Kira was, Higuchi. The biggest dork in the world. It was Light. That scared the hell out of Misa. Rem told her Misa everything she could, about that Misa used to work with Rem and stuff like that. She even told Misa about the Death Note.
Meanwhile, Light was thinking that he looked a lot like the first Kira. That was so funny! It’s great to see even when Light is ‘good’, he even still thinks as Kira. And right at that moment, Misa knows the truth.XD

Misa was hired. Without any doubt. She was really happy about it but Light told her to just be a model. It would be dangerous. And of course, Misa wouldn’t be Misa if she didn’t lied to Light about that one. She wants to make Light proud. Of course. And goes to Higuchi herselfXD She told him that she was the second Kira. That idiot. Higuchi wanted her to kill a person, and of course, Rem did it.^^. They really fooled him! Higuchi got carried away and said that he was Kira. But she wouldn’t believe him, unless he showed her that he was Kira. He said that he would stop the killings of some criminals for a couple of days. And that Misa, she had everything recorded on her mobileXD
I’m just wondering how on earth she is talking herself out of that one with L and Light XD. That Idiot.

Todays experiment: Can I watch raw anime? Todays answer: Yes I can. With some problems, but yes I can. I can’t deny that I missed out some really important things, but due the fact that I already knew what this anime was going to be about, I did catch all the important parts.

We have here the anime about the really shy girl, that gets recruited for the drama club. The main character is really.. sweet. I like Mugi, at least, I thought that that was her name. As expected, she is so shy that when she tries to talk, just nothing comes out. But meanwhile she has her moments that she suddenly starts to shout, without knowing. And it was just too cute when she broke by accident that branch and tried to get it on the tree again!XD
But I do have some problems with the rest of the side characters. The blond bitch was just a pain to look at. I like the purple haired girl, but I fear that I won’t like her again in the following episodes. She is really the though girl, a prototype. Kamyu, I think that was wat she was called, the friend of Mugi, is interesting, but I fear she is also really a plain character. We also have a boy, which just is.. too harem look a like. A bit annoying.
And the leader of the drama club. That was such a weird girl and I really didn’t caught much things of it. I really think that there is another reason why Mugi is recruited for the drama club but somethings says me that I should watch that wíth subs. I kind of like the music too. That has always been a big issiue for me. Anyway, todays experiment was fun.

Tsubasa Chronicle 45

I apologize deeply for not writing this sooner, and I also deeply apologize for not writing ánything sooner. You can just say that I have really a hard time to keep up with my schoolwork, and I’m almost finishing a testweek. And just for Tsubasa Chronicle: I had to drop a few anime due to the moving and the lack of time. After today, things should be easier for me to blog. For a while. I guess. Anyway. Tsubasa Chronicle. It’s still .. I don’t know what it is, but I don’t get enough out of it.XD

We go back to one of the arcs that made me addicted to this anime, one year ago. You’ll all remember the girl Chung Yang. You know, the one who could preform magic, and whose mother died fighting off an evil lord that had power of one of the feathers of Sakura. Well. This world appears to have another feather, otherwhise the bunch wouldn’t show up here.^^

The woman whose accused for the weird things is the rival of the mother of Chung Yang, Kiishimu. She appears to have an own country and people start to make plans to intefere with it. Of course, Chung Yang is against it. And of course, this episode is an hugh filler. I don’t care. The next episode should be great enough to compare this. XD The cliffhanger was way too fun to not notice.
Once again, an apology. I guess you’ll have to get used with it because I simpy don’t have enough time to blog.

Death Note 20

YAAAY! they are fighting once again!
Woa! New OP! I have never heard anything like this before. It’s… HEAVY METAL! I’m happened to absolutly adore metal so I Loved this song. Even it might been really weird. You can really see that Light is the bad guy in this anime. And OMG! I loved the grunting^_^. And Light and Ryuk. They were too weird. Well. That’s for the Japanese Metal OP. Interesting. And: Niiiiice!

Anyway. The episode. It was SO great! We begin with Light, L, Yagami, Matsuda and the other weirdo seeing the meeting of the Yotsuba. They were easily discussing who they were going to kill, and when. They just all agreed, and that was the case. Yagami and Light agreed that they had to arrest the Yotsuba, L disagrees, because he believed they needed all the evidence which they could get.

Light and L came into a heavy discussion, and Light came up with an idea. He called one of the Yotsuba, with the phone of L. And just talked to him, like he was L. That was so great to see! First Light is Kira, after that Light is going to be L. Really weird, because those weirdoes are the opposite of each other. Light called Namikawa, and said to him that he was L. He just asked to postpone the deaths a month. And that he couldn’t tell anyone of the group. If they found out, he is going to be killed. Light promised him that if L caught Kira, the other ones would be cleared. The only goal for L is after all Kira. Nice deal, though. If Kira is caught, he would be found innocent. So he would live. If L was going to be killed, he would live with his current situation. Light really pulled it off, and they gained one month in their research.^^

After that, ANOTHER fight occured L and Light. And I’ve seen it now three times, and it is really SO great! L is suprised that Light has pulled of the same trick as L would do, but Light thought of it quicker. So he asked if L should die, if Light would take the name of L. But… Light saw through that plan. It was just another reason to test if Light was Kira. If he really was Kira, he would have said ‘yes’. He would be L and Kira at the same time. That would become quite handy. But unfortunally, Light saw right through that plan. And asked. If L thought that Light would turn into Kira once again after they caught the current Kira. L thought so.
ANDDDD THEY KICKED / PUNCHED EACH OTHER ONCE AGAIN! XDXDXDXDXD It was SO beautiful!

Light has a beautiful foot in his one eye.^^.

And L has a beautiful fist in his nose!^^

And to make my joy complete: L and Light decide to take each other the different way to catch Kira. And L played another dirty trick. He manipulated Misa in cooperating in his plan. Because L was going to caught Kira. And that would make Light live. And Misa can’t live in a world without Light. So she wants to work along! Misa finally got some understanding for L, even though he was manipulating her and she apologized that she called him a pervert. L even said that he had another friend and he was just teasing Light with it! The only times that L says that he has friends if he wants something of that person. He is so obvious! It was SO great!

I have never thought seeing those bells in this anime. They really made a fool out of Light.^^.
I loved it! And to make it all complete:
HEAVY METAL ED!!! YATTAAA!

Tales of Eternia Review - 46/100

2000 years ago, a war occured two different worlds: Celestia and Infernia. It was a bloody war, and after the war was ended, the two worlds were closed for each other. Well. This does sound nice. And when you ad the fact that this anime is based on a game, and that the title is really nice, I thought: I should give it a try. A real mistake. I wish I had never said that. Our ‘heroes’ have to save this two worlds and of course they are on a journey to do so. Gosh where on earth did I hear this before? Another story of a bunch of weirdoes, ready to save the world. It sounds a little childhoodlike, and yes, how longer I watched this anime, how longer I thought this anime just looked like Pokémon. Really, there are SO many things the same! Two of the characters, Keel and Melody, have a modern version of a pokéball, with which they can summon ‘Summoning Spirit’s (a.k.a. modern pokémons). Also these ‘Summoning Spirits’ can do modern pokémonattacks like the watergun. Don’t ask me how on earth they do that, I don’t want to know.

The maincharacters are even MORE annoying! We have a girl, Farah, which is really the most annoying woman I have ever seen. Her voice is annoying, she makes annoying moves, her motives are also really annoying. It gave me a headache. And of course we have our main superhero which the notorious Sword, Rid. Of course, Rid always saves the day. How ordinary.

You might think we would see the adventures of these ‘young heroes’, but most of the time we see them celebrating the holiday on a Hawaii look a like island. That was even more annoying. I would love to see more fantasy like creatures, but I was really dissapointed in this aspect. True, I saw some, but they were slaughtered, not strong enough and it was all in vain. They are stuck on that beautiful island with weird people. And that’s what this anime is about. Untill we reach the climax with episode 9. This is so overdramatically that it made me laugh so hard and so loud that I didn’t notice the real drama behind it. The people from the island are really people from the other world, who are too stuck on the island and they are out on revenge. MUAHHAHAA. This also can sound good on paper, but in the anime: None of them really dies. None of them really gets hurt, and it’s just.. nothing. I mean, for gods sake! Someone crashed with a ufo into the enemy to save the others, and she doesn’t even die! How corny you can get. If someone sacrifises herself, make her die then. It looked so fake. Meanwhile, the climax is getting worse and worse. I don’t know if anyone who reads this has seen the Excel Saga. Well. I did. And after that, I have never watched a common anime climax ever since without laughing. And also here. It made me laugh so hard that I even expected the ’Puchuus’ to show up. The last episodes, even the translator got sick of it, and decided to add some sarcastic comments as well. This made the fun even more hilarious to me!

To put it shorly: This is an anime, made for children. You can really see the moral standing behind it, trying to teach this children a lession about revenge and forgiving people. That really can be nice. But it doesn’t work. Because it isn’t realistic anymore. This is an annoying anime about a bunch of teenagers with nice powers, celebrating their holiday. And don’t forget: This is a really silly anime. I recommend this to anyone who is locked into a dark room for a long period with a computer and connected to the internet and sick with boredom.

Venus Versus Virus 4

Another filling episode. This time we had a flashback of Sumire. Once again. She was looking back to the moment that she met Luchia. To put it bluntly: Lucia dropped a broach, Sumire picked it up, virusses started to appear, Luchia took Sumire to the shop. And of course, Sumire started to cry, saying that she didn’t want it, and she borrowed her power to Luchia.

But DAMN it. Sumire’s character is starting to piss me off. And really! There was so many things that Luchia was so great in! And just as many times I’ve seen the greatness in the character of Luchia, just as many times I’ve seen Sumire’s character screwing up this anime. But after all, I’m still keeping up my hope that someday Sumire finally excepts that she can control a great power and then we can finally see some teamwork.

But jeez! The thing that annoyed the most out of me was Sumire saying ‘why does this happen to me?’. The answer is quitte simple: Because she picked up that damn broach. There is no need in asking why things keep happening to you, they are already happening. And Sumire finally needs to accepts this. Luchia, meanwhile, is changing. Her hearth is softening, and it is so fun to see that she doesn’t want to admit it in front of Sumire.^^. This anime can still go somewhere. Well. Anyway. Next episode: New character!  Hopefully she can hit some sence in the head of Sumire.
