Black Lagoon review - 73/100

Black Lagoon is an anime about a company guy who gets kidnapped by a bunch of modern pirates. Hoping to be rescued by the company, his company ditches him and leaves him to die. After the kidnapping is over, this guy claims that he is so angry with his company and he has no other place to go, so he joins the pirates instead. He as a company guy has a lot of trouble to change himself into a villian, but to be frankly, he uses his own abilities to help his new company "Black Lagoon" out of some trouble. They live in a violent city, Roanapur, and this anime follows his story and the kinds of jobs and situations. The pirates run a delivery company in that city. It might be a bit weird for us to see, for example "The Churce of Violence" with nuns carrying guns, everyone getting excited for a manhunt for a lot of money, and all kinds of maffia all over the world who gather there. There is no justice in that city, and that’s where Black Lagoon the anime starts.

There are a couple of things that can hold this anime together, because Rock can be a bit annoying once in a while. The first thing is the gunwoman of the company, Levy. She is just pure evil at the first sight and she can kill anything on her way. It’s really nice to see her in those gunfights because the fights are really well made, and it can be an enjoyable time for us to see. The other things are a couple of side characters. Dutch is the leader of the company and his comments and actions are always fun to see. And the other is the nun of the Church of Violence, Eda. And god how I had to laugh because of her. But those are side characters and their backgrounds isn’t lightened out at all, and it’s a real waste.

The cases are really something too. You won’t be suprised to see an evil maid who acts like a robot scaring the hell out of Dutch, Benny and Rock, and Levy trying to fight her. You wouldn’t be suprised to see a gunfight at the "Church of Violence", saying that you should come back when it’s the day of judging and blackmailing everyone. Also you wouldn’t be suprised to see Rock again being kidnapped. He is really good at that. Here lies the good point of Black Lagoon. Several cases with Rock, Levy, Benny and Dutch and a couple of side characters, and they are just trying to furfill their job.

However. The second season is more pointed to some side characters like Balalaika, the head of the Russian Maffia. The action is too much, the blood is too much, the evil things are just too much. We have no Benny and no Dutch and no Eda. The creators tried to force Levy and Rock into a situation and then by some kind of a miracle letting them to be saved. The action was too much and too less blackmailing. It was a real shame because the power of Black Lagoon lies in its imposing characters, and the weird cases. And don’t mention the Engrish. I have tried to understand them, but after a few attempts I just convinced myself that it was a language that isn’t be for humans to understand. It’s such a waste. Black Lagoon started nice, but it became worse in the second season.

This episode: Rock gets abducted by a high school girl, Balalaika shoots the Kousa with their own guns, the war ended and they don’t even have to kill off the entire yazuka to save Yukio, Yukio meanwhile proofs that she can hold a gun and both Levy and Rock are lucky that they are still alive because I would be more frightened when Yukio pointed a gun at me when I would be when Levy would point a gun at me, Yukio kidnaps a villian, the long awaited fight between Gin and Levy and Yukio commits suicide.

Black Lagoon comes to an end. Even so, I know that I’m really late with this one and I know that the last episode was realised a couple of months ago, still I’m a bit sad to see this one going. It’s one of the anime that I was really looking forward to last year, and now it has ended and the last arc was really bad. It’s a real shame. The creators could have done more then this.

I will be short with my comments, I believe I should spoil those who haven’t seen it that bad, although I believe I will be one of the last persons to see this, because I’m really late with it. I had to laugh once when Rock was kidnapped by Yukio because she is still a high school kid. And always, Rock has to get kidnapped. And I’m always laughing because of it. Rock meanwhile convinced Yukio that she was too smart for her own good that she couldn’t convince herself that she had choosen her responsibility, and there lies his answer. He will be where he stands. And he believes that Roanapur isn’t such a bad place. Of course, a lot of gunfights. But the freedom is absolute.

Okay. No more Black Lagoon. Say goodbye to it, because I doubt that there will be a third season. The last season was in the end really messed up (take a look at the "Engrish". That was painful to watch).

This episode: Rock doing stupid things, Yukio using her brain to lure Hotel Moscow out and she realised that the base is in a ship, Levy being annoyed (as always) and Balalaika being evil and Rock making her laugh.

Rock is still not really happy with what Yukio said to him the last time and he still thinks he can save this girl from being a villian. He talks with Levy while they are eating and Levy claimed that they are already dead because they don’t have the graps of holding onto life, that’s why they are already dead. Rock as well. And I can see, because he doesn’t really value his life. Hasn’t he learned enough of Dutch and Benny? Remember, with the Roberta arc. Benny and Dutch can at least think to not upset a scary woman, and especially not when it’s Balalaika. But what does he? He upsets her because he claims that the yakuza already is destroyed and they don’t have to finish the last blast to Yukio. Don’t ever order someone of the Russian Maffia around, the idiot. He was almost killed, and he almost killed Levy with him. At least he could make Balalaika laugh and that was his cue to be rescued. I don’t really understand his reasoning, and with this being the last episodes of the anime, I guess I won’t spoil too much.

Yukio meanwhile was being shouted at by the Kousa, and after that she and Gin made a new plan to discover the hideouts of Hotel Moscow. They reasoned that with an armoury that large, they wouldn’t go with the plane. A ship. So the harbor it is. They mimmic a car as the same of Hotel Moscow and rob a bank. After that they eastdrop the police of where the white vans are going. It’s a real smart plan. And do I see it good, but I think our little girl Yukio is deeply in love with Gin, that’s why they are always together and they don’t want to part. They say it’s fun and well. This Yukio is annoying too. The next episode should kill both of them.
I’m interested in what is going to happen the next episode.

Hm. This was a suprisingly good episode. Not only because the most annoying Japanese dude finally died on his level, but also because Yukio finally said something good and because of Rock, and he finally realised that he can’t do a thing for her, he is just meddling with her affairs. But still, the goodyness of Black Lagoon lies with Levy, Rock, Benny and Dutch doing some jobs and the problems that lies between them and that Levy has to save Rock all the time. It lies in the crazy gunfights for no reason and the weird cases. I haven’t seen that here.

We start this episode with the gunfight between Levy and Jumbo, and the gang, and of course the gang looses. It was really nice to see Levy in a gunfight once again, because it has been a while since that happened for the last time. If you ignore her attempts to speak English and just convince yourself that that language is something complete else, you can just enjoy this nice fight. Gin was also really interesting to see, but his art was messed up, a real shame. After the gunfight, they split up to find the annoying Japanese dude who currently sank even lower by shooting his own people. Levy kicked him in the face, and walked away, and he was so angry that he followed her, not even realising that she was leading him towards Jumbo to kill him. I have never seen such an annoying character. Gin did kill him and suprised me with his slicing a bullet in half powers. Levy was also suprised to see it, and we can be sure that the two of them will fight in the next episode or in episode 24. Where Levy is most likely to kill him. Of course. We already said that Gin and Yukio won’t come out of this anime alive.

Speaking of Yukio, she was with Rock, and she asked him why on earth he saved her. After all, he was her enemy. Rock said that he doesn’t want her get involved in this, but he is already too late. She is already the center of it. And more: She choose it herself. Rock was just blabbling of how she could and that she had no choice. But what more can she do? If she can help her whole group, and she is the only one who can, what else can she do but to fight for them? Rock compared her with Levy, because they both don’t know better how to fight and that Yukio is becoming a criminal more by the second. And Levy.. well. If someone is a criminal, she is. It’s also the same with Balalaika, she doesn’t know different of to fight. Rock says that he wants to help her, but he can’t. He can’t save that group, he just won’t lose more memories of Japan. He is in the twilight. Neither choosing for Japan, neither choosing for Roanupar *or something like that*. He hasn’t changed at all because he doesn’t want to change. Levy might be the same one who kills him some day. It was suprising that this überpoetic girl could hit some sense in Rock. Really, suprising. The next two episodes will feature the deaths of Gin and Yukio, of course, and the end of the war in Japan. Black Lagoon becomes a bit stronger, but still it can’t beat the goodyness of Roberta and the Churche of Violence.

Another "brewing before the storm" episode. This time, we finally saw Gin fighting, Rock taking some action, Levy let Rock do what he wants, and the girl with the glasses being kidnapped. O yeah, we also saw something of the past of Balalaika. It showed that she was always fighting and she didn’t know how to live without it, but I think that flashback wasn’t really at the good timing. It was more like: Oh well, we need to show the background of Balalaika, we have a minute now, on to the flashback! Yay! Kampai. But it was just a bit stupid. Just a bit.

Speaking about other stupid characters, I have to say that Yukio annoyed the hell out of me the first half of the episode. She was just trying to be a yazuka, but seeing her in her school.. well it doesn’t really work. She has a normal live too and to throw it willingly away, it’s a bit weird. The second half I just pitied her. That’s because she was kidnapped by that evil Japanese dude, and really was made being fun of. Poor girl, I supposed she is traumatized by that event. And still she wants to continue. How weird can you be.

The only thing I’m suprised of this episode, is Gin. I must say, for a first annoying looking character, he was pretty cool this time! I really liked how he dodged those gunshots with ease. And I’m really glad because the best character of the whole anime, and the best character of this arc, are joining forces to send that annoying japanese dude off to some really nice place, named Hell. Finally.

Rock annoyed me too because he is meddling with things that he shouldn’t be meddling with. That girl isn’t himself and he can’t protect her from jumping into the villian world, like he jumped himself in that world, and can’t and doesn’t want to turn back from it. He wants to save her, but from what. And more important, how? If he just wants to save her from getting raped, he might do it, but the other things that he wants to save her from, he can’t. The idiot.

Black Lagoon 20

Ugh. How horrible can you get. If I knew that this garbage was about to come, I wouldn’t be watching it. But anyway, we’re almost through it, so I’ll watch it till the end. This episode was merely what you would call the "silence before the storm", although some things in this episode weren’t so silent at all. But that doesn’t matter because we all know that Levy is going to be in some pinch, Rock’ll almost get killed and they will somehow survive, just as Balalaika and the annoying characters this episode will be torn down. Thank god. Because, how annoying were they!

First off all, I would like to expres my annoyance against the horrible Engrish. That was SO annoying, and impossible for me to even try to understand it. It seems to me just like Japanese and I don’t even bother and just imagine it’s a language that I have never heard of. Please. The next time they are going to speak English, please do it properly. Onegai! The plans of Balalaika are just corny and based on pure evil, Balalaika is just evil because she is evil and she wants to dance in the hell. Yes. Thank you, nice reasoning. If badguys like that show up, I suddenly lose my interest in an anime. Please don’t make up some not corny reasons to be a badguy. Onegai.

And that girl with the glasses. The pain. The horrible pain. They tried to make a nice, deep thought character out of her, but it sounds to me that she is constantly stoned, that’s why she is babbling so much horse crap. She was even worse then a poet, and most poems are really airly and you can almost put a violin background music to them, but she was even worse. With her arguments I almost wanted to put an hallelujah chore on the background, to make it more funny. It’s clear that she is going to be slaughtered, and to be frankly I don’t care. She is going to be kidnapped, but well. The next episodes are going to be terrible, with too much action. "I’m looking forward to it.."

And of course the other guy who picked a fight with Levy. First off all he doesn’t even look like a Japanese and second of all I would really twitch his neck because his arguments are even worse than Balalaika and I really hope to see his blood in the next episode, by Levi. Arrgh.
How many annoying characters can you make in one friggin’ episode?! Where is the goodyness of Black Lagoon with Dutch, Levy, Rock and Benny? >_> It has passed away, unfortunally.

Black Lagoon 19

Once again a dissapointing episode. This will be the final arc of the Black Lagoon anime and they are going to Japan. At least, Levi and Rock go to Japan. Dutch and Benny are left behind. It’s a real shame because those guys are also the guys that made Black Lagoon shine in the first season. But now the creators have decided to focus on putting Rock and Levi in all kinds of situations. Their actions become forced. And it is annoying. And the other really, really dissapointing thing of this episode was the Engrish. Oh that was so painful. The creators realised that Levi can only speak English and Chinese, but she can’t speak Japanese. Balalaika can speak English and Russian. Not Japanese. But all the characters have been speaking Japanese since the beginning. Now Rock, Levi and Balalaika in a surrounding that only speaks Japanese and not English, the creators were forced to Levi and Balalaika to only speak English. But it doesn’t relaly work but they switch to Japanese all the times when the sentence became too difficult for the voice actors. They sounded HORRIBLE. It was so annoying that I even didn’t try to understand what they were saying. It’s a real shame because this episode was going to be a episode to build up the tension towards the crazy gunfight that is going to happen. But because the Engrish, it wasn’t believable anymore.

Further. Ah well it was a bit boring. Rock has accepted a translate job from Balalaika who is making some deals with the yakuza, the Japanese maffia. Levi came along because she was worried about him and they talked a bit. Finally the feathers appeared in the anime that are in the OP, and it showed the first time that Levi had killed someone. They talked about the parents of Rock and that he would have make a visit to them because he isn’t arrested yet. There is still time. But Rock well.. he doesn’t want to see them, even when he doesn’t want to show Levi that he doesn’t want to see them. There is going to be a story behind this, but this.. it was dissapointing. Really. Please, make the last episodes better! Onegai!

Black Lagoon 18

Ah. Another arc ended. And this ending. It didn’t impress me, in fact it wasn’t original at all and a plain gunfight episode. We’ve got the expected gunfight, and all the enemies are taken care of. First was the ‘yes-it-is-onee-chan’, who was shot down by Eda while Levi distracted her while Eda distracted her before Levi did it. Levi got slightly hurt and that was one enemy down.
Second: ‘the ghost woman’. She was blabbering her introduction, and lost her voice machine and got into a depression. The roof collapsed and she was down too.
Third: Rozon the Wizard. Took too much time with his introduction and was shot by Levi. But he wore a bullet proof vest so he is still alive. Meanwhile a pissed off Dutch arrived because his dock was set into a bonfire, and Benny. Levi, Eda, Rock and Jane got on the boat, took off. A few people jumped on too, but Dutch decided to rock the boat a bit with really nice turns. That’s fourth.
Fifth: The fatty exploded because Levi shot through him.
Sixth: Eda shot the cowboy to hell, not before revealing that she is part of the CIA. That can be very interesting because she is in this city investigating, or on the run. I had to bet on the second part because she wouldn’t be so violent like that if she wasn’t innocent.
The end. Jane and Benny liked each other, Rothon and ‘Yes-it-is-onee-chan’ became a couple too. Happy ending?

What to say about this episode. It was a lot of action. And when I say a lot, I mean a lot. And it was so much action and so much shot downs, that it became a bit too forced. I didn’t really enjoy myself this episode, because it were just gunfights. And you know that Levi and Eda were going to win anyway. Because the strongest of them all got shot down first, I kinda lost my interest in this episode. It was once again, a bit randomn. I liked the last episode better with the evil blackmailing Eda and the episode before that one with the weirdest church ever. Anyway, only six episodes to go.

Black Lagoon 17

This was a fun episode too, but it didn’t reach the goodyness of the last episode, that’s a real shame. It was a bit too much action, which became forced. But that is just a side note, we are not going to complain about that! We have seen more action in Black Lagoon and it can always be funny. We begin this episode with Rock, explaining the dangers of the city. He knows it, but Jane doesn’t. And that has realy put her in a weird situation because she does not know how to save her own life. Remember the last episode? Eda told those weirdoes were Jane was? Eda made a really good plan out of this. She told the guys were Jane was, but not in which room she was. She told them that she was in the room next to hers. Also she had a lot of papers hanging on the ceiling with circuits which way you had to go to save your own life. After that, Rock, Levi and Eda had just to wait until Jane would come and make a deal with her. And how Eda planned everything, so it went, even the gunfight.^^ The Lagoon crew escapes due the gunshots of Eda and Levi and the driving skills of Rock and they are headed to the ocean. The plan was that the Lagoon boat was going to be there and that Jane would be taken into safety.

For the bunch with ‘Yes-it-is-onee-chan’ and all those other weird guys, the things might get a bit complicated. Levi and Eda are so infamous that they demand more payment on the head of Jane otherwhise they don’t do the job.^^

Meanwhile Levi, Rock and Eda and their job are already in the harbor, and they expect the boat to be there, but.. it isn’t. Another job came by and Dutch and Bennie have taken the boat and they expect to return later. With a pissed off Eda they’ll have to wait. And what do you do when you’ll have to wait? Of course. You’ll start drinking.^^ All I’ve seen this past episodes are Eda and Levi drinking and it might be a bit entertainment after a while. Meanwhile Jane is trying to break into her own bankaccount but she can’t enter it. And I think she’ll never be able to enter it again because that buddy of her installed it but that buddy is shot down.

Anyway, you can’t expect different from this situation to get out of control, because the assisants arrive. And a real gunfight is broken lose, (their car is used as a shield and explodes. Levi was really angry about that one because they only just had got it fixed after Roberta messed it up in episode 9.^^) some idiots set the place on fire, Levi and ‘Yes-it-is-onee-chan’ meet once again, and the situation is becoming worse and worse by the second. But you can’t really tell about that one because it’s just a gunfight. Rock and Jane hide on the roof, and the next episode we’ll see more action, and a miracle or something like that and Eda and Levi save themselves and Rock and Jane too.^^ Interesting.

(And I know! It’s a really, really, really late post. But who cares?^^ I’ve already said it a numberous times: I’m really busy. School and stuff like that. Black Lagoon was forced to stay on a hiatus, because I simply had no time at all.)

Black Lagoon 16 - Believe the Church. Really. ^^

Faith is such a wonderful thing. And it really is in this episode. I think this picture can make it clear. The situation: I guess they were drunk. And what did I laugh about it.^^ Well. We have a new case: we have a girl, who is counterfeiting money. But she is a bit a bossy and perfectionist, and so she went over the time limit. After that, she had no choice to work really hard. But she didn’t want to, because her work partner was killed. So she run off. It’s not a very serious case this time, but she reaches the church. Guess who was there drinking. Levi and Eda. When the glass of Levi was shot, and they shot at Eda too, they got angry. Really, really angry. I guess I don’t have to say more of that.

After the gunshot party, the nuns heard what Jane, the girl had to say. I have to admit, I didn’t understand a thing of it. It was a bunch of horse crap what came out of her mouth. Levi and Eda got really, really annoyed by it. But you have to admit, Jane is a girl who isn’t familiar with this city. And that’s why she got in this mess. The nuns said to her that she should go with Levi, but Levi only accepted a big number of money. So Eda came with a very dirty plan B^^. She said that she could go to a hotel, and say that she was from the church. But only if she deposited 300 dollar for the Church. Jane did so, and left..

And after that: Eda called some guys and told them that she knew where Jane was:P After that we get the situation of every contract killer, invited to bring Jane back to her boss. Well. We have ‘Yes-it-is-onee-san’, and ‘Rotton the Wizard’, and all the bunch of weirdos. This can be fun. I loved this episode. It really showed me why I don’t believe in the church. Just in one episode. Wonderful. And really funny^^.

Black Lagoon 15 - and this ends the twin arc.

First of all: a confession. I haven’t blogged in ages. I’m so busy with school, that I can’t believe it myself. In total I have to watch something like 60 episodes, because I’m running so much behind. The post that I’m going to make, will be short posts, and the quality will not be the best. The end of the month raking of October will be the same as with November. Also, I’m going to move in only 10 days. After that, I guess I have to put this blog on hiatus untill the New Year. Well. Let’s get started about this episode. It was really, really nice. And god damn it, what a scary woman is Balalaika. She just sat there, and then I understood the plan of her. She was trying to tire out the twin, so that they would make mistakes and that she would hit. In this methode, she killed the boy. The boy was saying that they couldn’t die because they lived forever. But the boy died. It was a bit said, and a bit morbide.

Back to the Lagooners. They had a job to deliver the girl somewhere. They got paid, so they did it. No matter what Balalaika did. Rock was with the girl, and the morbide thingeys went on and on. The girl said that they lived to kill, to be killed and to kill again. Because of their past. They are from a place, with a dictator, and for orphans.. there was no need to raise these children. So the orphans were put in orphanages from the state. And became slaves of them. Rock felt really for the girl and tried to comfort her. And when she was all morbide again, Levi took over his job as a baby sitter, while Rock was angry. Benny said that it was end of business, because the girl can’t stop to kill.

They delivered the girl. She was shot by the person. It was Balalaika. The Girl is dead. The arc has ended. I liked this episode. It was really touching. And Morbide.^^

Black Lagoon 14 - the next episode can become interesting..^^

This is going to be a quick review because it has been a while since I’ve watched this. Anyway, let’s get started about it. What happened? Balalaika and mr. Chan have decided to fight together against the two evil twins. They are after Balalaika and she is pretty pissed off by now. I can’t recall the reason why Chan decided to go to action as well. I do know that how they find out who hired the twins and what are those twins isn’t a too great story for in the late evening. And it is not a very pleasant way to find out. I almost felt sorry for Balalaika, if she had a heart. But because she hasn’t got any feelings, let’s ignore that. To sum up: the lives of the twins: these really sucks. After this meeting in the rain, the hunt is open.

What does that mean? Yes. there is a price of 80.000 dollar on the heads of the twins. So every man in the city that can weild a gun is out to get it. And of course Levi, and of course the non. Somehow, they talk like friends, and the other time, they completly loath of each other.^^

And because Levi and the non do have brains, they are the ones to find the twins. In the way of Balalaika. And she is pretty pissed because of that. Cliffhanger.. I suppose. I liked this episode, though it was pretty disgusting. But hey, who wouldn’t like to see Chan dancing a silly dance and seeing his car demoted?^^

Black Lagoon 13 - The second season of Black Lagoon has started!

Yaay! Black Lagoon is on air once again, with a new arc. This time, they could even be better then Roberta. If Dutch freaks out, then I’m happy. Let him freak out, please. This time, two homocidial children are murdering everyone in the town. Children. And damn it, they are evil and that’s a good sign.

Futhermore is Balalaika pissed, is Rock called for some information and was this merely an introduction. I can’t wait. =3

Black Lagoon 12 - ‘Yes it is’ onee-chan^^

And with this, we end Black Lagoon. It’s a shame, it was a great anime. But luckily, there is going to be a second season! Yaaay! That’s the good thing about it, because Black Lagoon is damn short. So that means that after this episode, this will be put on hiatus.

Anyway, the episode. I feel like that I should say too much about it, because it is something you have to see for yourself. It was really enjoyable, that is true, and even we get some philosophy. I loved Levi in action and the Taiwanese woman was really funny as well. And of course, who couldn’t love the babbling of the stoned driver. If you look back to it, Black Lagoon got into a mess this episode. And it was too great to look at. This episode was great.^^

Black Lagoon 11 - On to the final!

With only after this one episode left, we are going to the final. And of course, it’s logical that the final will have Levi and Rock as the main characters. They have a new job. This time, they have to deliver something for ‘Mr Chan’, somewhere in two days. It was really annoying to understand what was going on and why on earth they had to deliver, let’s just say that I don’t care.^^

And they begin on their delivery. But the enemy, a rebellion army, caught up with their boat, so, Levi and Rock separated from the rest and Dutch was going to be the bait. In a small deserted town, Levi and Rock ran into the enemy. But because Rock is just an idiot, he got kidnapped and Levi got saved by some ‘extra guys’ hired by their boss: A taiwanese woman with knifes that doesn’t like to talk English, and a stoned bastard. Now, they are going to the place where Rock is.

Rock meanwhile, is in trouble.^^ I loved the expression on his face when he just stood there, and now he is questioned. To be continued. I liked this episode, but omg, how rash, how rapidly, and how cool.^^ The only thing is that this is going to be an introduction to the next episode and so you can’t say much about it.

Black Lagoon 10 - Scary, Scary, Scary Women

Finally another episode is released and we continue with the cliffhanger of the ‘Killer machine’. Benny and Dutchie have completly lost it, and they are driving in dead end. That causes of course..

This. Luckily, Levi wakes up! And she is desperate to kill that bitch of a Roberta. And one heck of a crazy gunfire starts. It was too scary to see, what are those woman scary! They shoot and they shoot… it’s no end to it. But what a wonderful fight as well with great grafics.^^

Dutchie and Benny are meanwhile scared to death and I so loved that moment. They are too scared to get out of the ‘car’, but they can’t stay in the car either. It was so great to see, even the great Dutchie, too scared to take some action. And let’s face it, who want to interrupt between the two of them?^^

Here ends the fight, and right on the timing, another scary woman came in the screen.^^

Who would be the scariest of the three of them? To be honest, I don’t dare to say because I fear the other two will be mad at me and will hunt me.^^ They ARE all scary. Balalaika solves the problem, Gracia is no longer kidnapped, and they should stop the fight. And with those militairs, it’s hard to reject that. Then we get some information about Roberta, and that she was a revolutionist to a revolution that never came. She killed many and called herself a dog. But we all know, that Gracia doesn’t know the dog, he knows Roberta. And that solves that case too. And what about Levi and Roberta? They fight, with the fist, until they are satisfied.^^

Don’t try to stop them. In the end, Levi is knocked out, Roberta can’t walk anymore and they are all off. It was really great to see. But you can’t tell much about it. And I don’t do that too because my hands hurt.^^ Great episode!

Black Lagoon 9

Ask yourself, is this a maid or is this a demon?

OOMG! This was something SO evil. Roberta is on her way to ’settle’ some things and bring her young master back to home, but.. (how do I put this?) she is a killermachine. Bluntly put. And because Rock has the kid, The Lagoon has some ..problems. OMG! I won’t spoil the fun but I was watching like this: O.o…
Roberta just doesn’t know when she has to stop, and that is the reason for the Lagoon to get REALLY paranoid and attempts to wake Levi up again. Nice cliffhanger. Nice. And scary. Roberta is one of the scariest woman I’ve ever seen in anime and I include that crazybitchofJigokuShoujo15. Omg..

Well. The only problem with this episode is that you can’t tell anything about it, because it’s the most utterly randomn episode. A kidnapped kid of a rich family, and a maid with some … nice ways to settle things. She was brilliant. Perfectly contrast.

I cannot say different that I loved this episode. Really, it was great. Dutch had a plan, it couldn’t be different, and sends Levi and Rock off to some jobs to pick things up. Well, that isn’t too nice when you don’t forget the fact that Levi is still pissed off.

Rock tries in the car to tell a few jokes, but Levi already knows them so it’s a nice idiotic situation. The deals are okay, they learn that there are a few drugdealers, without permission so everybody is pissed off. The last stop of the two is by a church. What the heck have criminals have to do with a church? Well: Nons with guns. A quite ‘notbiblecorrect’ situation. They go to the Sister, and drink some tea, and the Sister is blackmailing. Levi gets angry, but Rock stays calm, and that really suprised me. Rock used to be all fcked up in every situation where a gun appeared, but when a Sister and Levi are face to face, holding guns, he just nips some tea. And blackmails back. I think the whole Sister thing is just a cover for some dealers, so that they are not suspected. Levi is fcked off that Rock saved the situation in stead of her guns.

Rock is hungry, Levi obvious not, and they go together to eat some lunch. Then follows the most interesting thing, and where both Rock and Levi shine. They fight. And it’s great to watch at. And Rock is so totally right. After the fight (Rock had more to endure than Levi, but he totally stays calm. I like the new Rock!) they got arrested. And they don’t fight against it! OMG how cool, normally Levi would have blown the shit out of them. And now! Nice!

Of course, we make an end to the nazi boat, and Levi does her job pretty decent, but get’s fcked up in the controllingroom. Dutch yells at her and once again we have an interesting scene. You know what will happen to that crazy ship, and yes. It happens. Man, they are good. And Levi was so scary.

All what’s left is the Commander, and we have an interesting scene why on earth that painting is so important. And yes, the boss of the commander is the same man who gave the job to those guys. It was a nice scene to look at, when Dutch and the Boss were on the phone talking. They talked like it was nothing, but the worst conversations took place. ‘I hope you go to hell.’ and ‘If you weren’t black, I would have sent you an Iron Cross’ and much worse. I loved the way Dutch reacted to that all, and how he did his part in the job. And Levi. She ‘freaked’ out. She can’t work with Rock.

I think that in the next episode, a conflict will happen. I mean, those 4 are meant to be together in the anime, they will all come to each other. I know, otherwise it would be stupid. And this anime is EVERYTHING except stupid.

This episode was everything except funny. But still, some thinking. I liked this episode half…, but it was really freaky. As you know, Levi and Rock entered the tank. And of course, they find a nazi catacombe. And they find the painting. And Rock gets emotional, about if this is the right thing to do? We also are in the same room as last episode with the (most sympathic, that’s for sure) captain, and the fcking weirdo. The fcking weirdo makes of the whole place a massacre. And Rock has to wait there, between the bones. He finds the picture of the captain and his wife and kids, while Levi is away to collect al kinds of medailles. Is this the right thing to do? For them, they are just a few prices, for the nazi’s, they left their wifes and kids for it. Is it away to take it a way, such a priceless memory for them?

Levi answer is rough. But how could she else? She has no feeling, she couldn’t have a feeling, that would destroy it, so she found a on/off button in her system. After all, all the things she has been through, no wonder she has no hope, no love. She has her gun and her money. That’s all what counts, the rest is bullshit. And what about Rock? He is been used by his company, isn’t that one of the things you won’t have to witness? But Rock is a softy, he is not so long in the business. Levi threatens to kill him if he whines longer. And I think she’s right. Because: they are nazi’s. And I don’t mean that discrimination, but I think they are much and much worse then I possible can be. In this episode, Rock and Levi had forgotten the background of the nazi’s. Is leaving your wife and kids worthfull for such a empire? For the Führer? Killing innocent people? Is that something you can be proud of? Don’t make me laugh. People should be ashamed to do this, let them stay in their grave. I suppose it was the atmosphere that made Rock so sentimentel. I don’t like walking around in a sunken boat, full with skulls and rotten nazi’s.

And then we have the most craziest bastards ever above the surface, which I really do not want to talk about. I like the ‘cliffhanger’ of the next episode, they are going to fight, but Levi is on it with a consious. Don’t do that with those bastards Levi!

I liked this episode. Especially when they ‘went back in time’. I don’t exactly know how to put this normal in English, for me being Dutch, but I hope you’ll understand.

This episode was devided in two parts. One of Rock, Levi, Dutch and Bennie, and the other part about a bunch of crazy Nazi’s at the end of the Second World War in 1945. With the fall of the Führer, a boat received it’s final order, to bring a Japanese officer to Java. A fcking long road! At the coastline of Java, those navi’s ran into a Britan ship and of course (Because they’re nazi’s…) they attacked. And lost. And the boat sank. But one, and the most craziest ever, had a painting, nazi art. The painting was by the way fcking ugly. Everybody died, and that’s the part when Rock and Levi come in, because some more crazier guy in Spain collects nazi art and wants to pay 50.000 dollar for that idiot painting. Dutch tricked Rock, Rock panicked, Levi got angry. I think you knoww!

Of course we have another good cliffhanger, I’m curious about the creators going to solve this problem. And of course, there were little things that made this episode so hilarious!
