xxxHolic 24 - and with this, this anime comes to an end.

Not a spectacular ending. It was a side story of one of Watanukis memories, about when he entered middle school. He saw hands everywhere, that tried to attack him. He gets rescued by a boy and the two become friends. The boy can also see spirits and it’s really weird for Watanuki so he gets attached to the boy and they are best friends. Until the day of his birthday, it appeared that the boy was already dead. He was taken away by those hands 7 years ago, and he was happy that he could meet Watanuki. It was really touching. It was.

We see after that, Watanuki looking back to that time and feeling nostalgic. And it was the first of Arpil, and that is the time where Yuuko, Mokona, Himawari and Doumeki decided to celebrate it. After all, it is his birthday. So they go barbequeing, and have Watanuki do all the work. But he is happy with it.^^.

It was a nice ending. I really enjoyed it, it was so calm. It didn’t give anything of that he would be free of the spirits or something like that, but this is so much better. I didn’t really see a Watanuki without spirits. I’m glad they choose an ending like this.

xxxHolic 23 - Wonderful episode.

Okay, this does it. This was one of the greatest episodes of this anime. I already knew that it was going to be sad. But I really thought that Watanuki was going to listen to Yuuko and Doumeki. And what does he? He is going to see that woman again.. Even when she breaks ties with him, he still wants to see her. Because she was lonely, and when that’s the case, he feels lonely too. And the best part: he realises that he dies when he sees her. It was so damn touching!

Doumeki played a great part in this episode. He was the one that carried Watanuki to his home (in a funny way though) and he warned him for what was coming. And even when Watanuki sees this woman for the last time, he shoots her. Because he made that choice: Or he could sympathize with Watanuki’s dreams and let him there to die, or he could shoot his dreams into peaces which remained him on earth. I have to say that I loved Maru and Moro really. However they are soulless, they did care for Watanuki. It was really touching.

And wait until I’ve come to the best point: The voice acting. I think it’s incredible difficult to voice act someone who is at his breakpoint. Watanuki’s acting was SO nice. He completly broke down, and yet he had such a powerful voice. And we all know the moment when someone is about to cry, but tries to hold out with it. His voice shakes then. Watanuki’s voice did too. And that’s the moment I realised, this anime is wonderful. It’s incredible difficult to do so, and xxxHolic managed to do the job perfectly. Anyone should see this anime, just to hear Watanuki.

Yuuko didn’t explain what happened this episode. And I really had to laugh because of Doumeki and Watanuki at the end of the episode. And it was touching once again. xxxHolic plays with silence. After that moment, you can see that Doumeki and Watanuki express their friendship, to bicker with each other. I already thought so, but it was really great to see. I loved this episode. There is no discussion possible that this was the best episode of this anime.

xxxHolic 22 - It must be hard to have someone that you care about that makes you ill

I felt so much for Wanatuki this episode. Yuuko is out because of a mission and she doesn’t know when she is going to come back. Everyone is telling Wanatuki to be careful, and he meets a woman. They started to know each other and the woman lost her son, Wanatuki lost his parents. They start to care a bit for each other, like a mother and a son do. It was so sad too see.

Even so, there is something up with this woman. Wanatuki is starting to feel ill. Because of her. It started with some innocent coughs, but he faints in the PE class, and Doumeki starts to feel something too and says that he must carry the fox pipe with him. At Yuuko’s place, Yuuko warns him as well that he feels ill because he sees this woman, and Wanatuki starts to cough up blood and he collaps. Cliffhanger. I can’t wait to find out what’s happening after this. I’t’s all so sad.

xxxHolic 21 - I lack in believing superstitions. Muahaha.

This episode was nice, but I have a small problem with this: I don’t believe in superstitions. I have broken many mirrors and I noticed nothing. Bad luck happens when it wants to happen, without any reason, Friday the 13th and finding a black cat isn’t that bad at all. I believe in fate and karma, not in this nonsence.

Because of this, I didn’t quite understand this anime. Why on earth would somebody turn into a cow when he goes to sleep after he has been eating? Why would they say instead of that you won’t be there when you parents die that you’ll be taken by a giant scissor. For the test, I’m going to clip one of my fingernails, for the proof of science. If I don’t survive, believe every word that has been said in XXXHolic. Alright. The test. *Clipped* *looking around*. Nothing happens. Omg, I was so scared! *cough cough* Just to be sure, another nail: *clipped*. Nothing still happens. I see no black background, I see no scissors, except those who are next to me on the table. But these scissors, they are not moving, they are not trying to cut my head of so I hereby prove that it isn’t dangerous to clip your fingernails at night.

I wonder, how got those scissors there anyway? Anyway, I don’t have the mood to write anything about the superstitions that don’t excist. Wanatuki was really touching this episode. With the story of his parents and when he was eating with Doumeki, it was great. And when he turned almost in a cow, it was really well done. And of course, Yuuko remains great. But I didn’t understand her this episode. Anyone who does, please feel free to tell me.

xxxHolic 20 - Pictures

Another episode of xxxHolic, and it’s getting greater and greater. This time, Wanatuki is making chocolate for Valentines day because Yuuko ordered him to do so. I remember in Tsubasa Chronicle that Yuuko sent the bunch in episode 17 them some chocolate because it was Valentinesday. To think of it, it could be true that Wanatuki made that chocolate for them. If I think about that, I have trouble in holding my laugh. Just because I imagine what Wanatuki would say if he got to meet the white Mokona, and also a carefree weirdo, a though guy with a sword and two little brats. I think he would be pretty upset.^^

Anyway, a woman comes by. She is scared, and goes to Yuuko because it’s the last thing she knows about to do. What’s the case? A picture. Of a woman’s back standing somewhere. Wanatuki was first scared by it, but it appeared to be a normal photo. The next day: The picture is moving, the frame around it is melting. The woman comes by once again, scared, doesn’t want to let anyone to take a look at it.

What happens? The woman self comes in the screen, they talk a bit, they laugh a bit, seem if they have a good time, but then, the first woman is pushed of the cliff. It’s a bit vague to see if the woman did her herself, but her reacting like this, her face in the picture, and that she was incredibly scared suggest that she indeed pushed her. The woman says that she would do anything to let this picture vanish of the world. Yuuko recommend that she thinks about this twice, but in the end, she let the picture vanish. And it would be likely that the picture is never shown again.

However.. the woman can’t let anyone take her picture anymore. No videos, no webcam, no tv, nothing. If she does, the picture will be shown once again. This means, the woman has no where to go. It could be that she accidentally was taken on a video and that would be shown on tv. There are alot of people who get photographied accidentally because they were on the background. Every store has videoguarding these days. The only thing she can do, is lock herself in the house and avoid all contact. Then she can do it. To murder one is a heavy burden. I think this was a great episode. It really showed the side of the woman that is a murderer, but she has to face that burden the rest of her life. And of course, who wouldn’t adore Mokona this episode?^^

xxxHolic 19 - Awesome Snowballfight

I have seen this episode a couple of days ago, so I will be quick about this episode. Also because I don’t really have the mood to write anything at this moment, but shall we ignore that? It’s snowing, and that gives Yuuko a great idea and she invites the whole bunch (Mokona, Himawari, Doumeki, the Rain Spirit, the Vestal Spirit and Wanatuki) to the park for a snowballfight. But not just an ordinary snowballfight, no, this time you’ll have to make a snowman, and with that and your imagination you can fight. Mokona built a giant Mokona and when I mean giant I mean really huge, Doumeki had some warrior of snow and of cans, Wanatuki had a bunny (^^), the Vestal Spirit a pegasus, the Rain spirit the god of the wind and of the rain, Himawari something cute and Yuuko had a warrior with a canon that was driven by Maru and Moro back at the shop. The first winning price was a pandora box, a box that can give you anything you desire.

After some hilarious fights only Wanatuki and his snowbunny and Yuuko were left. But, Maru and Moro couldn’t find any snow for the cannon, so Yuuko was out of armoury, and by some stupid thing she was defeated. But right when Wanatuki wanted to open the box, Yuuko asked what he was going to cook for the dinner.. And in the box was the dinner. Wanatuki was so pissed after that that it wasn’t any fun left. Yuuko had a nice tactic though.^^

What really weird was, was the behaviour of Wanatuki. In this episode he was just a jerk, he wouldn’t participate, and wanted to leave as soon as possible. True, Mokona and Yuuko were really ordering Wanatuki around, more then normally, but to act that way then.. He really was a giantic jerk. And even so, because there are only 8 episodes left, Yuuko and Mokona do have a reason to act this way. The only thing is that Wanatuki doesn’t notice. I liked this episode, I wish I could have some snowballfights like that too.^^ And I have to say, Yuuko was really funny this episode.

xxxHolic 18 - The Demon Parade

This was a great episode. Wanatuki was cleaning up, and a cat look a like came out of a picture and started to talk to Yuuko. They were good friends, and the cat gave Wanatuki a lantern with which he could participate. With what wasn’t clear. He (annoyed^^) and Doumeki go there, and the letter of Yuuko really cracked me up. And of course the reaction of Wanatuki. That was too funny, even when Mokona, Moro and Maru also gave a note in the letter, saying that Wanatuki was a predictable idiot. Wanatuki was too funny.^^

Anyway, it’s the Demon Parade, the yearly thingey parade for demons and gods to walk with laterns. Doumeki and Wanatuki hold on to the lantern, but the moment they arrive with the big (talking) tree, Wanatuki trips and falls over, letting go of the lantern. They are discovered and the demons plan to eat the two of them. A bit of panick, and the twerps try to save them, the Vestal Spirit (while she is too cute), tries to save him, but the one who succeeds is the fox kid. And he was too cute too. And I just have to admit it, I was a bit scared the moment they got chased. I really was. The tree gives them nectar and they are off once again.

And when they got back: The intention of Yuuko: she loves the nectar, because she was already waiting for them. Wanatuki gets drunk and goes to sleep peacefully, and Doumeki asks why she didn’t just wait for them in the shop? Doumeki would disrupted the balance if he went inside, because he doesn’t need anything. Wanatuki does, so he can enter the shop. I liked this episode, Wanatuki was just too funny.^^

xxxHolic 17 - Fake glasses^^

Yuuko was great this episode! We have in the beginning a customer of Yuuko’s shop, and they are just staring at each other. The clock goes ticktack and the atmosphere is too heavy. The next scene, we see a annoyed Wanatuki because he had to go to some station and open a lock, in that lock was a note: Fake glasses. He was so pissed, that it was great to see. He bought some fake glasses, in the cheapest place he could find.

He sees the woman of the shop at the stopsigns. It’s red, and a moped came by. The woman threw herself on the road, and got herself hit by the moped. Wanatuki panicked, called an ambulance, rode with her to the hospital and bought her some flowers. She throws them on the floor without a reason, and apologized for it. Wanatuki was worried about it and told Yuuko what happened. He told that the woman, Nurie, said that she has always done such a thing. That she deliberatly did what she shouldn’t do. Failing an exame, pressing a button when she shouldn’t do it and so on and so on. Yuuko told him to bring the woman to the shop, and tried to explain some behaviour of her. If you win 300 million yen, would you accept it?

The woman comes and says she wants to take control. After Yuuko knew that she was going to throw a cup of coffee to her, and stopped her. Instead of granting the womans wish, she just gives her the ’special’ glasses. Yuuko said that her feelings, if they are right or wrong, they are still your feelings. And they may be weird, but they are still yours. Happiness is for everyone different. If she wore the glasses, the woman would be in control to take the right step. Wanatuki wanted to protest because the glasses were so cheap as ever, but Yuuko didn’t let him and the woman left the shop. Yuuko explained the behaviour.

To get happiness, you have to deal also with sorrow. Those two things hold themself in balance. If you want to get up on a higher road, you must suffer also a lower part. The woman wasn’t stupid, she just wanted to protect herself from that lower part. To throw herself in front of a moped, so what? It was only a moped. If it was a truck, she wouldn’t do that! She just wanted to escape an important meeting because it was so stressing. Even if she got promoted. The woman did pay, she gave away her escape route. She can’t go escaping no more.

I liked this episode, Wanatuki was really great in it. Yuuko was even greater, if that was possible with her mysteries and so. Liked it very much! Yuuko is totally right with all she said. This was really an episode of which you can learn. I like that kind of episodes.

xxxHolic 16 - Talking Daffodils

Huggy, huggy, lovey love…^^

This was a nice episode too. Wanatuki had a little problems with the pipefox, that loves him so much that he wants to hug Wanatuki all the time, and so, Wanatuki can’t do his work. But then, a stone fell next to him, and he went looking by the well.

Huggy, huggy, lovey lovey piggy-piggy-backey-backey-ride yaaaaay huggy lovey!^_^

Wanatuki sees there deep dried tofu. It was given by the Vestal Spirit but because she was shy she didn’t want him to see her. So she drawn his attention by throwing small stones. The pipefox is fond of the tofu, and stops with the huggy huggy lovey lovey stuff. It was great to see though. The next day, Himawari, Doumeki and Wanatuki are walking somewhere and Himawari wants to check out the jewelry. Wanatuki figures he should buy something for the Vestal Spirit as well and buys something for her. At home, Yuuko warns him that the tofu for the pipefox might been dangerous because he can’t transform to his regular size then. Wanatuki panicks and ask Yuuko for help.

Yuuko gets a vase, and a little trick, and both the foxpipe and Wanatuki are sunk in it. Mokona and Yuuko are meanwhile going to eat.^^

In the vase, there are talking daffodils. They can grow, and they have a nice temper. The foxpipe transforms and Wanatuki is scared by them and they run off, because Wanatuki can’t return from where he came because has something to do as well: the Vestal spirit.

He finds her, and they talk a bit and the Vestal Spirit is too cute to imagine. He gives her the gift and she is incredibly happy. So, they are chased by the little twerps.^^

The rain spirit saves them and Wanatuki is going home again. Somehow Yuuko wanted him to meet the Vestal Spirit. It was a wonderful episode, really cute. But forgive me for this review, I’m a little annoyed because some idiots are playing idiotic music right in front of my house, and my polse hurts. I loved the episode though. Himawari has serious competition. I hope the pipefox wins.^^

xxxHolic 15 - Waves, Twins, and Words

As suspected, this episode continues the arc about the twins. We all remember that the elder sister was bleeding in the cinema. Doumeki let her out, and Wanatuki started to think. And then he realised. The elder sister was bleeding because she wished to bleed. She didn’t find her contact because she already gave up on it before she went looking for it. Wanatuki tells Yuuko about it, and the power of words. Once they are said, they can’t be denied. Words are just like waves, they start and can’t be stopped. Wanatuki worries about the elder sister.

Suprisingly, he talks to Doumeki. I don’t think Wanatuki hates him, because if he hated him, he wouldn’t go to him. I think Wanatuki doesn’t realise that Doumeki is a friend of him. Doumeki has btw develloped the most interesting way to get rid of Wanatuki’s screaming if he does something that upsets Wanatuki. But back to the topic. Wanatuki wants to tell the other sister about the problems of her sis, but he doesn’t dare, because they wouldn’t probably believe him. Doumeki says that he thinks the same way as the sister, and he said that he would come along with Wanatuki if he sees the twin again. And Wanatuki has to pay^^. Doumeki just loves to eat.

Wanatuki tells the sister about what he thinks she should do. That she better has to think that she can give it a try. It’s always better to give it up before she starts it. We know that the sister stands in the shadows of her other sister, and that makes her insecure. They both like Doumeki, and the younger sister didn’t dare to talk to him. Wanatuki was an optimist, and then the sister shined for a moment. She seemed so much more happier then she was before. Later that day, a happy Wanatuki talks to Yuuko and he understood the power of words. Words ARE powerful, because they can make waves. There is no one that can stop a wave.

Doumeki’s way to avoid to hurt his ears while Wanatuki is yelling.^^
They meet the sister once again the park, and she is doing so much better, so much happier. Because she thinks that she can give it a try, but Wanatuki says that she has to think that it will work out. And that really helps the sister. They talk a bit, and so on. The sister said that she had a part time job in a eat house as a waitress and invited Wanatuki, Doumeki and Himawari to go there. Unfortunally, Himawari couldn’t make it, so that was a reason for Wanatuki to get really annoyed and for Doumeki the reason to look like a donkey once more.

But, the sister seems to be really depressed once more. How could that be, when she was so happy in the park? The reason is simple. Her younger sister was there because she was worried about her older sis. She said that the Sis could better stop this work, because it was impossible for her. To put it bluntly: She has no confidence in her elder sister, just right where the elder sister needs confidence the most. The Younger sister thinks that’s the fault of her sister, but she doesn’t realise that she selve is the source of all it. It all goes wrong, and the sister gets more and more depressed. In the end, she is tied together by the strings and the power of words and is unable to move once more. She is trapped. Wanatuki tries to help, but then, we see our hero:

Yuuko talks to her, if she is really satisfied with the way she lives now, because then she should go on where she has no room to breath. It needs willpower to chance it and Yuuko asked her if she had a wish. There should be a payment for the wish. The sister agrees and says that she wants to be different. And that’s solved. The next time Wanatuki and Doumeki see her, she has cut her hair. Probably as a payment for Yuuko. The sister is really doing great, and even her younger sister accepts her. She can take rejections and she is really doing well.

The last scene of this episode was too good to be true, never say to a woman, especially when it’s Yuuko, that she can be fat if she keeps on eating outside the house. Her revenge was sweet. Muahahaa. This episode was great, you can really learn much about xxxHolic.

xxxHolic 14 - Twins

This time, after that time that Yuuko took Wanatuki to a foodmarket, he spotted twinsisters. The one was optimistic, the other insecure. The next day, he finds the insecure, older sister of the two of them. She lost a contact. Wanatuki offers to help her out, but she says that they won’t find it anyway. A strange aura appeared, making a strange sound. Perhaps, only Wanatuki can see.

He talks with Yuuko about it, and she says that he didn’t find it because he didn’t find it, but he didn’t find it because he can’t find it. She was mysterious about it, and said something about the power of words. This could be because the sister gave up, before she even started searching for it. With that attitude, you won’t find anything.

The next day, Wanatuki talks with Doumeki about it after complaining why he has to lunch with him.^^ Doumeki thinks that the twin isn’t even human, because it might been the same thing as with the Vestal spirit. I doubt it.

The younger twin works there. Because she wants to thank Wanatuki for what he has done for her big sister, she invites them to drink some tea and eat some cake in a shop. The other sister arrives and they are off. The younger one has some interest in Doumeki, and the elder sister is really quiet, and if she says something, it is this line: I knew that this would happen.

After this, it isn’t still enough for the younger sister. They go to the movies, a horror. Wanatuki objects because he is afraid of the evil spirits there, but after seeing the elder sister, he decides to go.

The younger sister is trying to hit on Doumeki, and the younger sister is freaking out, while Wanatuki is busy to ignore the spirits that are attracked to him. This episode ends with a scary cliffhanger, and I don’t know what’s about to happen. We can say for sure, because the younger sister is so popular and wanted, that the younger sister feels less and becomes more and more insecure. The younger sister doesn’t notice that it is her fault for not thinking about her own sister, but invites her everywhere. I’ve seen it before with twins.

I totally loved this epiosde too! There is a girl, a quiet and nice girl, and Wanatuki noticed that she got wigns on her back. He found a feather, and the girl started to act weird. The time he got to Yuuko she immediatly destroyed the feather and warned him to watch his back because he could turn into dinner. Wanatuki sorts of understands.

The next day, the girls wings are bigger, and she acts during the autumn festival even stranger. She hits someone with a gun, and runs off. Wanatuki runs after her, and there we see a complete mental girl, attacking Doumeki and Wanatuki with a knife. The wings got bigger and bigger, and realised the girl. The girl fainted, but the winged creature came after Wanatuki. When he was cornered, our great Fox Pipe saved his live. The winged creature burned. And there we get Yuuko again. I so love her explinations about everything. The creature was a fallen angel. They conquer people and think for them, but it has to be some kind of human. The girl was a perfect target. You see it also on television. ‘He was always quiet, I didn’t expect him to do such a thing’ and so on.

There were also some few things ’bout this episode. Like Mono and Thingey don’t have a soul, therefore they can not leave Yuuko’s house. The Fox Pipe is in love^^, and the nice drawing of the girl. Nice episode.

Wooooot! This was the best episode thus far! Yuuko has rented a summer house and invited Wanatuki (as a cook^^), Doumeki and Himawari to come as well. It’s a nice house, but meanwhile we get some blue words written on the wall, saying that she longs to someone, that she waited all her live for this day, and so on and so on. There is a blue flower in a blue vase in the kitchen too, just like the words said she would.

Doumeki and Wanatuki continue to bicker on. Well, Wanatuki continues to bicker. How more, I wonder why on earth he hates Doumeki so much. It just can’t be a logical explination. Doumeki must have done something to Wanatuki otherwhise we can conclude that Wanatuki is just a whiner. I think that must be it, because he can’t hate Doumeki for something like that..

They all go swimming in the morning, but Wanatuki realises that he can’t swim because the ocean is full of spirits that are attrackted to him. ‘Save me, say it’, says Doumeki. Why we don’t know, but even I had some problems with that line. I like Doumeki more then I like Wanatuki, but why would he say such a line. I’m not suprised that Wanatuki really got angry and went to sleep.

In the night we hear something that sounds like a mouse. It wakes up Wanatuki and he starts to investigate, because the sound of the wall couldn’t be right because it was the last wall of the corner. Wanatuki finds a new door, and after some thinking that he should call Doumeki, he goes in without him. He thinks he can do it alone. When he is in the middle of the room, he sees all written on the wall in blue ink: Get me out of here.

That is really frightening, and he starts to panick. Then a body comes to him, alive, and begins to be creapy, but still, Wanatuki doesn’t say the words that he needs. Doumeki turns on the light, and we see Mokona controlling the corps^^. It was a prank, made up by Yuuko and Himawari. If Wanatuki could ask Doumeki for help, Yuuko could have find a contract that would have kept away all the spirits from Wanatuki, so he could swim. Wanatuki is pissed off in the beginning, but after understanding that Himawari wanted to help him, he begins to be more calm. He askes about the vase and the flower. But it isn’t the work of Mokona and co. The nicest cliffhanger ever is that somehow, windows appeared in the wall, with curtains that were opening, seeing a woman. She is free? I suppose. I wonder how this will end.

Sorry guys for me being as tired as hell again (don’t ask me what I’ve done, I’ve only had a testweek..) So this review will be short as well. Wanatuki prepares some things I forgot to remember for Yuuko and the bunch. Only because she called him 5.00 AM for making it. Muahaha. Too evil. They all get gidly and leaving one for Wanatuki. He wants to give it to Himawari, but she has left town for a few days. Wanatuki is lonely in the park and Doumeki eats the thing, and Wanatuki get’s REALLY angry.

A cute girl comes who wants to talk to Wanatuki but is too shy for it and get’s the thingey out of Doumeki’s stomach and is off, not realising that she has taken Doumeki’s soul as well. Wanatuki is really to blame for it, and Mokona and a big bird comes out of the sky and they chase the girl. Mokona was too cool to be true, such a small animal, and such a large beast. Wonderfull. They get chased by some idiot dwarves without a beard, and Mokona shows them whose boss. Wanatuki falls, the girl catches him and she is nice and in the background Mokona keeps chasing the dwarves. Sooo cool. The thingey gets where it always should have been and so on and so on.

I don’t think much about this episode. It was about ghost telling, and of Yuuko and her couple skilles. But the ghost stories weren’t in my eyes scary, maybe that’s just because I always imagine with that ghost stories that it’s just a story. This may ruin the fun for me, but I think it’s a method I’ve develloped to not scare myself. So, I didn’t think much about this episode, the only story I liked was the story of Wanatuki. And of course, Mokona eating a watermelon.

Forgive me for this review, I’m tired.

This episode really looked like an episode before. Remember the woman who lied constantly?
Well. Here we have a woman whose pinky also is a pain. But it’s different. Yuuko gives her a ring, and that settles it. But Wanatuki is worried, and follows her.

We discover that the woman is manipulating guys by saying she is the one for all of them. In the end, those guys meet eachother. Muahaha. This is the concept of this story, but it gets better. We have a Pipe Fox as well, protecting Wanatuki, and Doumeki and Wanatuki coming ’closer’ to eachother. I don’t think Wanatuki really hates him, and Doumeki just thinks Wanatuki is weird. I loved the ‘Fox Pipe Dance’ Wanatuki preformed. And of course: Mokona drinking. This Mokona is so different from the Mokona of Tsubasa Chronicle. But maybe that’s just because there is no liquid in that anime.

Niiiice! This was a very nice, and interesting, and GOOD episode. We have also our Tsubasa Chronicle refrences, and I’m a total fan of that anime, so that was too cool to be true. But: I didn’t notice it. T_T A well, we all make mistakes. The staff of Fay has an interesting new purpose in the house of Yuuko, and I don’t think that Fay would have mind that his staff is being used like this. I think he would find it funny and hit that rug too with that nice bat Yuuko used in episode 6. Ghehe.

Wanatuki is going nuts again because he has to clean all the dusty thingeythings Yuuko has. And she has a lot. A woman comes by and she sees a thingeythingeything, otherwhise: The Thing. I don’t know how I have to put it different. She ‘falls in love’ for that thing, and she wants to have it. Yuuko thinks she has no choice but she does recommend that the woman must not open the Thing. But the woman is so greedy and selfish, that she will open the Thing anyway.

The next day in school, the woman is there too, as a teacher for Wanatuki and Doumeki. Both of them see that there is something wrong, as accidental the Thingey is opened and it’s a monkey pawn. She thinks it’s good luck and wants to test it and she wishes for rain. It rains. She totally loves it, but she doesn’t realise that it’s her fault that the pawn got the water for the rain out of the schoolpool. She thinks she is lucky and wishes for all kinds of things, and doesn’t realise that she steals it from somebody else.

At the end of the episode, everything for the woman goes wrong, and she dies. Of course. But she was too greedy to see that it was her fault. Everything returns to what it is again. Thank god. I didn’t like that woman, but I so loved that story. It’s morally and so nicely done. To make you be carefull with what your wish for, I like that. I’ve learned something new. Muahaha.

Still, I wonder why Wanatuki hates Doumeki so much. All he does is talking to Himawari, and so does he. But, is that the only reason to hate somebody? To be the opposing of the other? I don’t think so. I think something happened in the past that really made Wanatuki hate him. And this episode, Doumeki saves him. The hate only comes from Wanatuki.

A very weird girl comes to Wanatuki, and slaps him on the head with an umbrella, because it was raining all day. The girl is a Rain Spirit, and she is just too weird and arrogant. Doumeki and Wanatuki are set up for a mission, with those big flowers, and Wanatuki is being captured by those thingeythings. Inside it’s complete dark, I loved the white shadows, though. There’s a girl down there, who is terribly upset because she wanted to go somewhere but was too afraid. Wanatuki comforts her and was really sweet to her, and the girl decides that Wanatuki should come along with her. As long as they go, a smell appears that only Wanatuki can smell, and the Flower herself warns Wanatuki to not go there. Wanatuki has still his doubts, but the girl insist on going there. At the end Wanatuki sees the ribbon that he and Doumeki got from Himawari, and they are saved. By who? Doumeki, who had stand for 10 whole hours in the rain, with a bad left arm. You can imagine that Doumeki was pretty pissed off.

Yuuko tells him later what the smell was that Wanatuki smelled. It was a netherworld, of people who commited suicide. If Doumeki hadn’t saved him, it would have costed the life of Wanatuki. Kind of weird, to be saved by somebody you hate. But why hate him?

What an idiotic openingsscene. We see Wanatuki in a store, asking for a drug that will cure a hangover or headache. But all we know, as Wanatuki standig there, that Yuuko has drunk too much sake. And we are right, and it’s just too funny to look at a Yuuko who’s holding on to herself on that couch, and as soon as she had taken the drug, she decided she went shopping. Speaking about a fast recover.

Wanatuki of course has to come along. They bought a red baseballbat, and they went to a client, who wanted to quit using the internet so bad. She was totally addicted to the internet and in the end Yuuko managed to leave the rest to the woman. But it was nice to look at, especially how Yuuko turned that bat into a sword. She is so idiotic, but even so, she is brilliant.
